When we did "Fame" this past weekend, we had Carmen look almost like a strung-out hooker. She had ripped fishnets, because she stripped, very little but bright and smudged makeup, dirt-looking makeup, tattered hair, ripped jean shorts and a shirt. She's not supposed to look sexy. She's supposed to look completely ruined, at least that's the way I've always seen it (I've done the show twice and its always been like that). But her appearance here works-she's totally out and ruined here. :)
this girl is AMAZING. i saw this touring the UK about a month ago. this is better than her. she just needs a little more... OOMPH, you know what i mean?
INCREDIBLE ... great work! love your voice you obviously spent a lot of time practicing this song. my school is doing FAME and ive been casted as Carmen .. i really like this song, and its awesome to see you do a great job. i hope i do alrite lol :)
well i wasn't trying being mean either.. I based my comment on several years of experience.. I basicly think the entire SCENE lacks energy, not only the girl singing.. that said I STILL think the girl's voice is awesome.. I'm just giving contructive critism..
i'm in this scene, in this video. i just want to explain to you that while carmen was singing we were supposed to be frozen in time and she was supposed to look on us with jealousy that our lives had become something.
I kinda already quessed that :).. but you do still move during lines.. and with the intimacy of the song and all, i think you could have given more energy.. please don't misunderstand me..
