Yep what you said was true but i dont really care about that stuff except African time lol anymore cause it's natural to me now especially the whole right hand thing
lol, this is so funny. I'm nigerian born and raised in nigeria, everything you said is so true. That's what's called great parenting in nigeria trying to put your children on track to teach them all the moral behaviors and all. If you lived in nigeria it wouldnt be strange even 1 bit.I enjoyed the video.:)
They'll ask you , "do you want to go and arrange the chairs with them , we'll go an hour after it starts" 3 hours later you're still at home...Nigerian parents
You are so right on everything you said! And I felt you when you talked about marrying a Nigerian. Both of my parents are not Nigerian, my dad is but my mom was born in America. My dad would be soo crazy, but he has cooled down a little...However, my mom has her crazy moments. So they make a perfect pair.
Girl u r so right I am late to everything cuz of my parents I wanted to be a ballerina now I'm gonna be a doctor it's good to know other people have to deal with these naija parents
Lol! Totally understand the Nigerian time. I rather be on CP time than Nigerian time. I'm half Nigerian so my parents don't really place much emphasis on the other things on the list.
4. lol me tooo! oh my word, when i was in 1st grade i wanted to be a doctor, my parents probably did too
5. ahahaha i know Nigerian time, something starts at 6pm, we get there at 10pm at the earliest lol thats why anytime I have an academic function I tell them to be there at 4pm if its starts at 7pm lol
I agree I am married to a Nigerian(Yoruba) man and have two kids with him and they already plan for my sons to be a engineer or a doctor.. Why are Nigerian so religious my mother in-law pray all day long.and why do they talk so loud on the phone there is something call a inside voice.I love my in-laws but when I visit the family I see all the things you are talking about with other family members concerning their kids. That why when most get their freedom they go wild, well alot of my African BF
it is true though but it really helps and teaches excellent morals...thats why it is hard to see nigerian drop outs and all that...
summary i like nigerian parenting and am glad i got some of it
