@OMGfirecapeftw People suggest that quite often, but I can assure you it's in MPH. Bear in mind I've tuned purely for high speed here; it's more or less the highest top speed the car can achieve and isn't tuned for turning corners at all.
Hey, I've never played GT4 before, but I garner it is a realistic racing game. After seeing this, I'm having doubts - 310 MPH? That's rediculous. An Esprit can barely make 170. Is this some kind of cheat?
Most of the time GT4 does a pretty good job at emulating real life, but it cannot model everything perfectly accurately, especially under extreme circumstances (such as high speed tuning). For example, GT4 doesn't model the engines or tyres overheating, which for 99% of the time isn't somthing we need to consider anyway. In high speed tuning however, overheating would certainly become a major concern. Hope that makes things clearer.

he uses nitrous at the 2nd strait his nitrous was set to the lowest so that it would last long

It was tuned dude, esprit dont come stock with 800 hp and nitrous.
