  • Wow! What a GREAT movie!

  • I'm amazed at every single on of Dustin Hoffman's performances..He deserved the Oscar that year.

  • This is like a good version of My Own Private Idaho.

  • I had to leave my home, the USA. Couldn't get healthcare there at any price. My two babies died.

  • Oh Joe Buck, what a babe :) This movie is soooo wonderful. Both main actors are superb.

  • Oh Joe Buck, what a babe :)

  • I just love the Brat Pack! They are such a fine troupe of actors.

  • This is almost as good as "The Breakfast Club"!

  • Thank you.

  • it's always a joy to watch this movie.

  • That's the real picture of USA. After 7 years living there, and coming back to my Coutry, Brazil, I Know better then enyone that the right place is our first place. That's it.

  • A penetrative insight into the dehumanizing aspect of living in the great urban centers of the US...a film about lack of social justice, desperation, manipulation and consolation through friendship and hope of a better tomorrow. Great acting on the part Of Dustin Hoffman.

  • Esta película es la que mas recuerdo de todas, no se por que, me ha dejado una marca en el corazón

This movie is the one that more I remember of all, not for which, it has left to me a mark in the heart *****

  • What is last song called?

  • @MrDataCode Henry Mancini did the song its the instrumental called Midnight Cowboy...

  • At least he died on his way to a better life with his best friend by his side. Not a bad way to go.

  • I've watched this movie 25 times and every time is just as good or better!

  • One of the best movies ever made!

  • Back when Jon Voight was cool...how times have changed

  • Dustin Hoffman denied an oscar for True Grit and John Wayne. A stitch up!

  • the movie should of had more info of joes past life but other than that it was a great movie

  • @arizona1105 The movie gives a lot of information of his past life, but it's meant to be a little vague, since everything he recalls is from his memory and sometimes his nostalgic fantasies.

  • mygawd--NYC when it had ballz,a distant memory now--and everybody smoking, living and breathing, and messing with the out-of-towners--times square hustlers, shills and zombies--good film and yes.hoffman shouldda gotten an oscar-

  • Outstanding! What a great movie. Still holds up after all these...decades! Thanks for your effort in loading this.

  • First time I saw this I was really touched.

    Very sad ending

  • hey fella, you fell... i'm gonna say thAT all the time now...

  • hey fella, you fell...

  • thanks for uploading. excellent film.

  • @thesachiba hey fella you fell...im sayin that all the time now

  • throughout the whole movie i called him "ratso" and when he died i told my wife."i think RICO died"

    sad ending. great movie!

  • Last words: "Thanks Joe". At least he passed knowing that someone loved him. I really hope he heard Joe call him Ricco not Ratso that last time... Thanks so much for the upload. This was a beautiful film about true love in the face of all that's twisted in this lonely world.

  • he had pneumonia.

  • i wish he woulda saw a doctor...

  • @xxreadyyfreddyyxx why? The nasty system in the US would have had him left omn a 22 month waiting list.

At lease he died on the way to a better life

  • @diamondDaleMcPHE I think Tuberculosis

  • Great film and fantastic performance by Hoffman

  • hahaha listen to his laugh at 3:02

  • @jinjokitsu Yes- Life isn't all peaches and cream. Makes one wonder where Joe is going now all on his own? so sad...

  • great film

  • Excellent film. It's too bad they don't make them like this any more. Thank you so much for posting it!

  • What did Rico die of? TB?

  • @ponderings123 I'm thinking pneumonia..

  • Whatta death! great movie thanks for uploading.

  • talk about a day late and a dollar short ....thanks for the post been awhile since i seen this such a great movie and even better book

  • thankyou for posting this.

  • I hate endings like these. This is just like Two Lane Blacktop. Two Lane is worse because it ends with the film melting.

  • I feel REALLY sorry for the sick guy, even though it's just a movie!

  • Great moovie. thanks for uploading.

  • Ahhh, from the days when film-making was still an art form, and not just a money-maker. Wonderful performances from both, as their characters unfold. Dustin Hoffman is a brilliant actor.

  • @jinjokitsu haha I would be happier if Rico survived though

  • Last performance from Dustin Hofman i've seen was Kramer vs ******. Such comparing really shows how good his acting is.

  • Joe went to New York so he could meet Rico and take him to Miami.

  • A great classic!!!!! A+++!!!

  • OMG, this is so sad ! I can't take it.

  • such a touching part when he throws away the cowboy boots and clothing

  • Errors in geography: After Joe Buck's encounter with Towny, he and Ratso board the bus to Miami. But the bus then enters the south tube of the Lincoln Tunnel, which only carries eastbound traffic into New York.

  • Sad and awesome!!

    the best movie

  • thanks for posting all these!

  • why was this movie rated X?

    they didnt show anything.

    it should be rated pg13

  • It was rated X because of the time it came out. Half of the R movies today would've been rated X in the 60's and 70's

  • @antiTyph0n06

It was rated X because it dealt with homosexuality and had a few boobs shown here and there. homosexuality was very taboo back then

  • @antiTyph0n06 They didn't have PG13 back in the 60s...

  • Thanks for upload this movie, really good

  • A GREAT MOVIE TOP UPLOAD. . . . .

  • Wow, Joe Buck's expression is so sad. It was heartbreaking. I haven't seen this film in years and had forgotten how sad the ending was, especially Joe's facial expressions of loss and vulnerability, especially when he's holding the Rico's lifeless body. It's all in the facial expressions, and Voight nailed it. :(

  • omg, totally right. Voight totally put me in there with him. Beautiful acting...

  • What do y'all think Joe would have done next?

  • very sad movie

  • Rest in Peace Rico....

  • I live in Miami.

  • great movie!!!

  • Thank you for the whole movie. You're awesome, but damn was this last part sad.

  • the ending is not hard to guess, but how the other people are staring and Joe's face makes it a lot more effective

  • "OK, Rico?"

    Enrico, see u in miami...

    and whoever posted this...

Thank you for posting this movie, man...

  • This movie is so good. I saw it somehow because my mother ran into it one day on the movie channels and discovered that it really is a good film! The ending is very sad; i just caught a tear

  • gracias again

  • Sad and tearful ending` it shows how his friend died, and left him all alone to fend

for him self in the big city.Great picture,

    a classic.

  • Is this the uncensored version? I heard the rape scene was supposed to be way more graphic.

  • Thank you so much for posting this movie. What a classic. Bravo!
