This was really the last 2nd set played with this kinda feel to it.You can see it in garcia's face let alone his playing.Check out phil he is THUMPIN" and clarence is pretty much having his own musical mind blown kinda doubt if he got this high playing w/springsteen.From the start of this show till the very end it was freaking great especially for this time in their career.Little did we know brent was gonna leave us and with him going the grateful dead went downhill real real fast.
Warriorsrtrail; you can't make everybody happy so don't worry about it. I thank you for posting this. This is one of the few old shows with good, clear video and multiple cameras and good sound. Thanks. I appreciate it
OK....Pretty sick Eyes but I gotta admit. Never have been and still am not a fan of the Clarence stuff. Same w\ the Wynton stuff. Could just do w\out the horns. But still, Jerry slays it!
@mikeadelic Not a big fan of the clarence stuff.could do without the horns.Bro i am afraid you really don't get it.What about the few shows back in '73 when doug sahm and his friends came on tour and blew some horns and minds with those horns.Garcia and Phil just dug those horns all night long .Well sorry you did not dig those horns but you might be hardpressed to find some well seasoned dead heads to agree with you.
For a long time I thought Clarence was kind of a detriment to this Eyes, but I'm coming around. It's a nice extra dimension that pushes the energy. Definitely not a Branford eyes, but I like this.
what happened to all the shoreline shows? i was there 89-till now i live in florida, and crave videos, or hdcd's of these. my old cassettes have long worn out. Also want oakland col. and the silver bowl shows in vegas. THEY EXIST RELEASE THEM BEFORE I GET OLD. heck i am old. rats.
Holy cow. I used to have this on an old cassette tape from when I recorded it during the simulcast they made. That tape got played so many times that I knew every note. I've had to play it in my head from memory for years. I never thought I'd hear it again...let alone SEE it. I love you for real-real. :-)
hurray -i was there-many shoerline memories-if you told me then id be livin in nebraska watchin this on a computer-my mind would be carried away-thanx for posting-where you there?maybe we hung out! PEACE and LUV
