Some people say we should be TRYING to AIM for civilians, which I don't think is right at all, even after Pearl Harbor they could have chosen a more militaristic area.
But it's a moot point because our military doesn't usually kill civilians on purpose. Instead of saying "collateral damage is GOOD" the way to stand up for the military is by saying "C.D. is an accidental rarity with us",

Look at the changes we have made in fighting since even the Vietnam War. Before, we didn't care who we bombed, as long as the "bad guys" were in a city, the whole city was a target.
Now, we go for specific homes...even rooms of homes...to avoid civilian deaths.

News reporting Irans link to funding HAMAS to build U.S. support. Once Irans nuclear facilities are destroyed they will move the military into Palestine to take out Hamas supporters. He said that there will be tens of thousands of Hamas killed but Hamas will be no more. Iran will be invaded by Egypt & others if they retaliate. 98j

I see parallels with the US government and Tim McVeigh on collateral damage. The US government has basically the same attitude that Tim McVeigh did in killing civilians to target an objective. What's funny is the hypocrisy factor as usual with the US government. When McVeigh did the exact same thing the US government does around the world this government pretends to be "shocked" or "outraged" about his bombing. This same reaction from the government also happened after 911.

Excellent comments. I agree totally. What I keep noticing, is that the Isrealies are doing the the Palestinians exactly what the Germans did to the Jews in Poland, in the Warsaw Getto. They walled off the city, no food, supplies, or medicine for them. They've been blockading Palestine for about a year now...I can't imagine the hunger and fear. Only Egypt has been giving them some meager sustinance. OMG. And I can say this. I'm half Jewish. The way they're going about this is wrong.
