Boieldieu was also the teacher of Pierre Zimmermann, a father figure of French pianism. He went on to teach Marmontel, who in turn taught a legion of first-rate French pianists. Laskine plays this movement marvelously!

I think that nobody has ever played this concert from Boieldieu as empathetic and sensible as Lily Laskine. She was indeed a very very great musician.
