what kind of rounds do clay shooters use? are they special clay shooting loads or do they just use standard 12 guage shot?
and if they are different, are these guns designed for sport shooting capable of shooting full power rounds on a regular basis?

Usually 24-28 grams of either lead or steel shot with the diameter of around 2 to 3 mm
Of course they are loaded lighter than hunting rounds, Gyttorp lead max sport ammo calculates to around 2000 joule energy as i recall.
