  • Just goes to show you, sheer determination triumphs over superior strength.

  • @dreed4kent Don't take anything from this film, it's very very biased.

  • British Army = the best army

  • if anyone think all this commotion going below me is crazy try looking in the comment section of master and commander. It's like ww3 using words

  • is that Hugh Laurie at 1:36 ?

  • 2:46. Boom, Headshot!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ''These rustics are so inept'' - lol, I laughed there

  • This may be a stupid question but I'm honestly curious. Did the Americans and the British literally like schedule a "battle?" Or did both sides honestly just happen to march towards each other at the same time? lol

  • @Delta5D i think how it worked was that the two armies met, made camp, then formed up in the morning to march at each other

  • take that

  • 1:30 Young Eomer?

  • @TheXand19 don't think so! karl urban isn't that cute! i wonder who it is :(

  • I love the battle music to this scene of the movie as the british just keep marching as there drummer boys and flutemen play and play.

  • British rebels, French, Spanish & Dutch vs Britain.

  • @Hanniboom Don't worry, almost everyone knows what is real in the movie and what isn't.

  • @Hanniboom Don't worry, almost everyone knows what is real in the movie and what isn't.

  • Although I love you Brits, really you are awesome and I love traveling to London. GET THE FUCK OVER IT! It is a movie, for entertainment. Don't get so indignant when you spot a few historical errors. ITS JUST A FUCKING MOVIE!!!!!!!!

  • This movie is far from historically accurate but the the point remains. An army of untrained farmers and civilians defeated the best army in the world, at the time. There is no doubt that the French and the Spanish helped our cause but it was still Americans fighting on the front lines, to discredit an entire movement because they had help is ignorant.

  • @jayleffler Remember Valley Forge! I, a British man, do!

  • @jayleffler it wasn't the best army in the world at that time, and half of the forces were untrained the other half were regulars, and the french and spanish helped you hugely not to mention that it was because of the french blockade of yorktown that the british got cornered.

  • @Hanniboom Yeah, I'm American and this movie is bullshit. God damn it, it's a good movie, but it's so full of shit lol.

  • @Hanniboom They were free men, they were conscripted against their will.... what you said is total utter propaganda!!!

  • Press 7 for awesomness

  • @Hanniboom Hollywood would find a way to make Jesus look like Hitler...

  • The Brits wouldn't find it so easy at the Cowpens, Kings Mtn, and Guilford Courthouse. The Carolinas campaign wasted nearly a whole British army by 1781. Sir Henry Clinton had warned (actually ordered) Cornwallis not to pursue the Americans into the back country. He didn't listen and he paid the price.

  • Literally, RED ARMY!!!

  • tbh the French wouldn't have won without america and america wouldn't have won without the French, fact is the British troops we allot better than the French and Americans and the yanks need to know this, the only way they won was because their were so many of them.

  • @GamingLogics we won becuase you cannot defeat an idea with weapons that is why we are failing to destroy radical islam today

  • @supersmashist An idea cant be accomplished without people supporting the Idea so I refer back to what I previously said "their were so many of them"

  • @supersmashist no you won because the french helped you out...

  • notice how at 1:41 the flag is covering that british guys face lol

  • @Hanniboom jop. Btw, noticed how wrong the Spyglass-Scene is? ^^

  • the british are coming the british are coming

  • Thumbs up if you're watching this on the 4th of July (even though there was no bloodshed that day in '76)

  • what ever war is war people die like the guy that got f**ked by the cannon ball.

  • Mel Gibson is a biased mother fucker showing the british like that

  • 2:58 what was that supposed to hit?

  • If the British made a movie about the american revoloution, it wouldn't be one sided, it would show that on both sides were frightened young men fighting for rich aristocrats who only see them as numbers.

  • @11Cheesewaffles Yeah I used to like this movie alot (still do but not as much) until I found out it had a little bias view but hey with every good movie their needs to be a distinctive villian to crush in the end.

  • GO ENGLAND!!!

  • What a sight!!! British loyalist lost alot less men than the British republicans.

  • is that how they fight in war back at 18th century? it just so...

  • Is it possible to get that slow British Grenadiers march at all? I can never find one in that tempo.

  • @ChivKnight Would love to know too if you ever find out, love this version.

  • ahhhhh stripes and stars !!!

  • hmm can u shoot with a bayonet on your rifle ? Dont know can anyone answer this question

  • @killerrj8 Not with the early Bayonets, 'cause you put those in the Gun Barrel.

But with the ones shown here, yes its possible.

  • @DerOrk ok thanks wasnt sure about that

  • How is called this kind of battle?

  • @jetixspeed Uh, (Napoleonic) Line Infantry?

  • 1.48 - that's yr own damn people yr firing at ; (

  • we got our asses kicked at Camden

  • the americans flee within 10 seconds...

  • @11Cheesewaffles First and last time for everything...

  • @incinerator327 well actually the yanks fled most their battles, that's how they managed to overwhelm the british.

  • I take it back, the German Navy wasn't pathetic on a world scale. But if you were to compare it to the Imperial or Royal Navy, or just the US Third Fleet, it was pathetic.

  • But you have to include Japan when you talk about Axis powers, to not is an ENORMOUS omission. The Imperial Navy was large and elite, and it dwarfed that of the rather pathetic German Navy. The Japanese Army consisted of Veterans who fought in campaigns in China where they were massively outnumbered. The USSR had the liberty of being able to focus all their men and material against Germany, rather than dividing their fronts, and they also had the advantage of fighting on home soil.

  • Russia*

  • where are the times, when armies went to war with music...

    jeez ;)

  • @JheakrynaKyAlur Where are the times, when men died well dressed =)

  • @DeathlyDavid

lol - actually i think we all could skip the dying part and just go to war with some good music - have a dancebattle-contest ^^

and then go back home ;D

  • one thing I find stupid about this movie is that the Americans don't have British Accents. I mean wtf at this time they were still British pretty much!

  • I can name several Wars where America was the difference maker. And against Japan for instance, America carried most of the weight for the Allies. The Aussies and New Zealanders contributed, but made little difference in the outcome. No disrespect to them, but in the grand scheme of things. The War in the South Pacific was won mostly through American blood. The Japs were fighting the Chinese, but the Chinese were not making any kind of advances on Jap soil.

  • @StonewallJackson26 Japan could have never taken China because there was just too many people.

USA did not carry the Allies. Russia did. Russia alone killed millions of German troops, possibly even half of the German army. They took Berlin. They did not have a body of water to keep the Germans out. They became so powerful the Atomic bomb was the only thing that stopped them from controlling Europe and killing the Allied troops there.

  • @GrrrIamMad They didn't need to control all of China. Japan's army was much better equipped than the Chinese. There was no way the Chinese could've ever driven the Japanese out. Russia carried the allies in the west, but in the pacific America was the driving force. And the main reason why the Russians did beat the Germans was because of the western front. The Germans withdrew supplies and troops from the Russian front thus allowing the Russians to push back. The Germans were simply outnumbered.

  • @nzd07 If it wasn't for Russia, D-Day would have failed because the Germans would be able so send troops. D-Day was very close to failing.

  • @GrrrIamMad your point?

  • @GrrrIamMad Russi, you mean the USSR did NOTHING to defeat the Japanese. Virtually nothing. Also if you count in German POWs, the casualties on the Western and Eastern front were almost a parity. That is dead, wounded, missing/captured. A hell of a lot more Germans surrendered to the Americans than the Soviets, in fear of execution.

  • @StonewallJackson26 Who cares if they hate you as long as they fear you.

  • @StonewallJackson26

If you think about it, if Hitler had not delcared war on the USA, WW2 would have been 2 sepereate wars, the European continental war, and the Pacific war.

  • @melonhead82 nope, your probably thinking if the Japanese didn't join the axis powers, then america would have had no right to attack germany.

  • @jangofett1234

Hitler declared War on the USA.

  • @melonhead82 yes, but round abouts after the time of pearl harbor.

  • december 8th 1941, japan officially declears war on the united states, followed shortly by the nazi party and hitler.

  • @jangofett1234

And the USA did not Enter the European Conflict until 1942. If Hitler did not Declare War, the USA would not have entered the European Conflict.

  • @melonhead82 america saw japan as a priority, the Doolittle raids over Tokyo is one piece of evidence, when america put enough resources in to the pacific, the turned their attention on Germany, fighting two fronts at the same time, the same with Britain against the Japanese in Burma and Nepal. after germany was destabilized enough and beaten down, they could effectivly divert weapons, men and other supplies to the pacific theatre, where the war would continue until 1945.

  • with the men would have to attain something called points to avert being sent over to japan after the conflict in Europe ceased. like it or not, america would have joined the war no matter if Hitler declared war on america or not, japan was part of the axis powers, thus in turn, any ally of japan was an enemy, this included Italy, hungry and other anti soviet states that wanted independence from Russian rule.

  • @melonhead82 Hitler declares war on america on December 11th 1941

  • You may have won the battle, but you won't win the WAR. >:(

  • @Yoshi7000

Well the USA had Powerful firends, and who were really tyranical (oh the Irony XD). France and Spain, with the Dutch Colonies, all 3 had absolute monarchies and were tyrants, where as George III, although loved by the British people, was completely powerless.

  • @Yoshi7000 dude, this war was a good 300 years ago. time to move on.

  • I loled when that American got his head blown off

  • Silly yanks! Pay your taxes!

  • @fartsam08 lol I like your comment

  • I miss Heath Ledger...

  • you know as soon as i heard bin laden had been killed i knew the americans wouldnt stop bragging

  • @nessiemh Yeah that was great, Bin laden managed to rearange the worlds most famous skyline in minutes, the US with the worlds best military (arguable) managed to kill one unarmed man in a dress. Great job.

  • @rifal004 Hey, unarmed people in dresses can be very dangerous.

Especially when they have a large terrorist organization behind them.

    Man, that always sucks.

  • THIS JUST IN: EVERY COUNTRY HAS DONE HORRIBLE THINGS IN THE PAST. NOW LET'S SHUT UP AND MOVE ON.

  • The German Army, salutes the British Army which its has always been held in the highest respect.

  • @InfamousCrack123 Im not trying to come off as mean, ignorant, or any of that mess. But, how has the German army always held the british army in the highest repect if they've had 2 wars since 1914?

  • @PepperDr94 I am not talking abouth the 1900s the comment was to be inplaced somewhere around the mid 1700s.

  • @InfamousCrack123 ahhhhh i gotchaa ;D

  • @InfamousCrack123 damn shame Britain and Germany were forced to go into two world wars against each other seeing as we were both close allies and really alot of English people are german so kinda sucks killing each other

  • @danuk500 true, imagining how World's History would have change if they stod as Allies since the Napoleonic wars.

  • @InfamousCrack123 yeah i think if we were there would not be the 2 world wars seeing as nobody else would of had the balls to fight both Britain and Germany.

  • @ERROLCUSTERFLYNN4EVR It took you 10 years to kill a unarmed 6 foot 7 old man that lived in a house right next to a pakistani training camp, good job.

  • @ERROLCUSTERFLYNN4EVR

You violated international war byt going into Pakistan. Ande believe me, that led to a war between the USA and Pakistan, you wouldnt have stood a chance. The Pakistan army is a well trained army.

  • @melonhead82

    That meant to be Law.

  • @melonhead82 and the US isn't?

  • @bow1master

The USA lacks actual leadership, its officers are not very well trained compared to many european and former imperial colony nations.

  • @melonhead82 Then why is Pakistan not declaring war on us right now if they can. You sound like a typical bigoted eurorat who likes to start shit.

  • @bow1master

They could have, I didnt say they would have.

I'm not a European thank you, I'm British.

I do not judge untill there is evidence.

Obviously you do not understand international law.

  • Comment removed

  • @melonhead82 I don't know anything about Pakistan's military strength but if they were strong enough to contend with the US they would have fought the country by now

  • @bow1master

Considering Pakistan's terrain is similar to Afghanistan, mountainess, odds are it would have been a military blunder.

  • @melonhead82 that sir, is the best thing ever. i'm not european, i'm british. thats awesome.

  • @jangofett1234

    Erm, I'm confused XD.

  • 2:47 Headshot!!!

  • 0:50- 1:04 "Honey, the British and Americans are fighting again"

  • @XJokerekoP in the war or in the comments section?

  • what if we still fought like this

  • 1:00 "Oh shit..."

  • Is this.. an actual song? Whaaaat is it.

  • If the French hadn't helped the Colonial armies the British would have kicked their ass and won the war

  • that was one expensive cup o' tea :D

  • @G00t Indeed : D

  • love the version of the British grenadiers in this video where can i find it

  • @1FishJelly Should be on iTunes.

  • If you want to use the argument that America had help. Then I guess we could say the same thing about the British in the Napoleonic Wars. Napoleon would have kicked your asses at Waterloo if it weren't for the Prussians. Can any of you name one War that Britain has won by herself??? No you can't because there is no such War.

  • @StonewallJackson26 Falklands war, can you Americans name 1 war you won yourself

  • @nessiemh Falklands War? Wow! Argentina military is a joke.

  • @StonewallJackson26 thats not the point you said name 1 war we won by ourselves and i did. and true Argentine military is crap but think of the logistics sending supplies thousands of miles around the world

  • Keep whining you fucking Limeys. Fact is is that you were thrown out of the colonies. Regardless of how many belligerents there were..... you lost. Also the British had help as well from Hessians, Iroquois, Cherokee and Torries who were loyal to the crown. STOP FUCKING WHINING.

  • Don't worry guys the 2nd great American invasion is coming to a town near you.

We'll be invaded by Europe [EU including France, Germany], Asia [Russia, China], and Africa [including Arab countries].

Get ready. Pray. Because you'll need God.

But the whole world united shall not prevail against her [if America repents, and Americans can learn to live for God].

Let every child of the Republic learn to live for his God, his land and Union.

    watch?v=M5KN3m9DKMU

  • BY GOD SIR! YOU GAVE THOSE AMERICANS A DAMN GOOD THRASHING!

  • Besides the Prussians, was anyone good enough to go open field with the British Army?

  • @Tails137 Lt Col Alex Hamilton led the assault on Redoubt @10. 2nd Cousin Gen George Rogers Clark beat "Hamilton the Hairbuyer, My 2nd Cousin Lighthorse Harry Lee never lost a major cavarly action against the British 1st Cousin General Daniel Morgan beat the British at Cowpens, Washington my 2nd Cousin you know. . My 4th cousin Andrew Jackson beat the British at New Orleans. YES , WE HAVE A FEW WHO STOOD THE LINE!. Arthur Wellesey the Duke of Wellington is my 5th cousin!

  • @Tails137 i know this is an old comment but the french? like shown by napoleon

  • 2:44 That's the part I wanted to see!

  • XVII century - age of steel balls soldiers !

  • @slideharp1 What makes Mel Gibson a great man?

    1) He is a true Patriot. Do you know what a Patriot is you brainwashed unpatriotic fool??

    2) He exposed the Jewish involvement in the crucifiction of Jesus. John 19

    3) He made & starred in MANY great movies including the Patriot, Braveheart, Conspiracy Theory, Passion of the Christ etc...

    4) He exposed the Jewish involvement in major wars.

    etc...........................

Why are you such a hating piece of shit? Are you Jewish? Would explain it.

  • Not entirely true that US won because of the French.

The US won because of a combination of European powers. The French backed the US through a lot of direct military action in the Americas, but so did the Spanish and Dutch.

Additionally, many European nations declared war on the British during the time period; the American Revolution was a sort of sideshow in a greater war against the British, who were emerging as a hegemon.

  • saratoga, ticonderoga, Trenton all were won before th French. we probaly wouldnt have won without the French but hell, its not like we were just getting smothered the whole time without them. they came in 3 years into the war, like the US did in WW2. you know how you guys talk about how we came in late. is this the same situation?

  • HOLY SHIT! America would have gotten our asses kicked in the revolutionary war without the French and the French would have gotten their asses kicked in the World Wars without America. There we're even. Now shut the fuck up and talk about what you thought about the movie or how much you miss Heath Ledger (aka the Joker).

  • That kind of warfare is crazy . . .

I miss the day of swords, the noble wars

  • 1:36 they make the british seem like souless robots lol

  • j'adore la tete qui vole

  • I like that even though most of the americans are scared of the cannons, but continue walking like its nothing.

  • Lol, I love how everyone complaing about how bad war is today...

  • 2:48 ouch!

  • Fighting redcoats on the battlefield is like fighting german panzers with bayonet.

  • the french helped us win this one

but we payed them back with ww2 lol

    like if you agree

  • 2:19 : madness? THIS IS SPARTA

  • 2:28 onwards british ownage !!!!!!

  • i really couldnt imagine how terrifying it would be to march in those lines and face artillery and musket fire, war was even more insane back then than it is now.

  • Honestly, will you all stop talking about goddamn WWII and whose colonial army was best and similarly inane shit? I'm really sick of it. I mean for fuck's sake... someone bash Mel Gibson already.

  • @LieutenantLimey Mel Gibson is such an obnoxious anti-semitic drunkard! There, happy now? :D

Love the version of The British Grenadiers they play. I wish there was a clean vid of this version instead of all those Barry Lyndon-OST clones with the wrong music in it...

  • @HerrRoehrich This comment is good on so many levels... yes, thank you :)

  • @HerrRoehrich

Agreed. Stupid obnoxious phifes in low quality! I wanna hear what's in this vid!

  • @LieutenantLimey . I think we will keep Mel, he's only a Danger when he's drunk.

  • got save the queen

  • Its is good to see my countrymen walking awesomleu and shrugging off American musket fire and then unleashing hell :P.

Full respect to USA & U.K

  • @saber5892

I'm proud to hear you say that even if you lost. I'm American and I respect that you would say this.

  • @TruArtStudios No problem! Many good men died on both sides! You Americans fought and died for your freedom and we British should honour you for that.

  • This video just freaks me out...

  • Also, German industrial capacity was destroyed by Allied Air Superiority. It wasn't until the Luftwaffe was virtually wiped out when the Soviet Air force started conducting bombing raids over Eastern Germany and Prussia. Now, if America hadn't have intervened, Germany would still be producing weapons and materials and a high capacity because their airspace would protected. Thus leading to the German army being able to well equipped with the supplies to hold the massive front.

  • Germany was not "well equipped" with supplies. Look at stalingrad. Russian industrial capacity alone was way mightier than german and they had much superior manpower reserves. Germany was thrown on the defensive after kursk and the soviets would have worked their way to berlin without overlord. Even before allied bombers raided germany soviet factories already produced more tanks, aircraft and everything needed to fight the w
