I had to choke it till it passed out to get my dog out of it's mouth. They ended up having to ban the dog from the city limits. Don't assume.

I absolutely want a pit bull! My fiance has a brindle and he is the most loving dog I have ever met. Most of a dog's character is formed through how you raise it. If you do not have the time for a high maintenance dog then don't get one because then they will end up being destructive! I used to be one of those people who believed Pits were just mean, aggressive killers. I never had a desire to be around them and most definately was not going to have one at my house. That all changed about two months ago when this beautiful Pit puppy was abandoned in my sister's neighborhood. My heart went out to it, so I took her home. After some visits to the vet, feeding some weight on her and loving her, she is such a beuatiful creature and my entire family is in love with her.
I had a beautiful female brendal I lost a few months ago, and out of all the pure bred dogs I have owned I'll never have another but a Pitbull. She was the most loving , silly, sweet dog I have ever had. And now I go to look around for another and people look at me as if I am asking for some crack or something. It's not the breed that cuases a bad dog it's the deed, and anyone who owns a Pit knows this!
My understanding is that piut bulls attack less frequently than many other breeds, we only hear about them because the dogs are large and powerful. It is a problem with owners not the breed.
my grandma is a vet tech she has been bitten by a lot of thing but never a pit bull. why because the people that make then bad names for the pit bull don't care for there dog and arnt likely to take it to a vet that could turn them in for abuse. about 65% of the dogs that come in to her work are pit bulls.
I am an owner of a pit bull and I hate the bad rep they have. Of all the dogs I have ever owned, our pit is the most loyal, friendliest, calmest, and well mannered. I am very thankful that there are others out there like me who understand that just because a small percentage of dumb asses breed these dogs to be hateful fighting machines, doesn't mean that they are all that way.

He told me that his dogs may kill him some day and if they do, he won't blame or hate them. He said it would be his fault for owning an animal with those kinds of instincts. They were supposed to have no aggression to humans whatsoever so when the owner had to pull the two dogs apart they wouldn't redirect on the person. Ive seen lot of different dogs attack even retrievers, I have seen people who have extremely trained pitbulls that they can walk around with other dogs and don't have problems. Its all about how much training time you put in with your dogs and use of non abusive methods for training hell I brought my dogs there own queen size bed to sleep in.

My dog has been attacked 7 times by strangers dogs wheh I've been walking him. 5 or those dogs were labradors the other two were muts. The labs whould have easily killed my dog if I hadn't managed to get him away. Also, my friend works for a vet and the most common breed they have to put down for attacking a person is a labrador.

i have a razors edge blue pitt and another full blooded pitt bull and a pitt bull lab mix. in total i have 5 dogs and i would trust any of them with my life and i love them all. my pitt bulls are great animals who are smart proyective and great with young kids. if you have never owned a pittbull and never gave one a chance then you have no say in the subject of pitt bulls. a dog will differ depending on how it is raised. give a pitt bull a chance.

I had to choke it till it passed out to get my dog out of it's mouth. Another time, my room mate had a pitbull that chewed through the neighbor's fence, got loose and caused trouble in the neighborhood. Dog pound had to pick it up. They ended up having to ban the dog from the city limits. Don't assume.

I absolutely want a pit bull! My fiance has a brindle and he is the most loving dog I have ever met. Most of a dog's character is formed through how you raise it. If you do not have the time for a high maintenance dog then don't get one because then they will end up being destructive! You have an amazing looking dog and seems well trained :) Keep up the love and affection!

I used to be one of those people who believed Pits were just mean, aggressive killers. I never had a desire to be around them and most definately was not going to have one at my house. That all changed about two months ago when this beautiful Pit puppy was abandoned in my sister's neighborhood. My heart went out to it, so I took her home. After some visits to the vet, feeding some weight on her and loving her, she is such a beuatiful creature and my entire family is in love with her.

I had a beautiful female brendal I lost a few months ago, and out of all the pure bred dogs I have owned I'll never have another but a Pitbull. She was the most loving , silly, sweet dog I have ever had. And now I go to look around for another and people look at me as if I am asking for some crack or something. My understanding is that piut bulls attack less frequently than many other breeds, we only hear about them because the dogs are large and powerful. It is a problem with owners not the breed.

my grandma is a vet tech she has been bitten by a lot of thing but never a pit bull. why because the people that make then bad names for the pit bull don't care for there dog and arnt likely to take it to a vet that could turn them in for abuse. about 65% of the dogs that come in to her work are pit bulls.

I am an owner of a pit bull and I hate the bad rep they have. Of all the dogs I have ever owned, our pit is the most loyal, friendliest, calmest, and well mannered. I am very thankful that there are others out there like me who understand that just because a small percentage of dumb asses breed these dogs to be hateful fighting machines, doesn't mean that they are all that way.

well trained puppy,never had a pit but i have 3 dogs(mixed lab, border collie mix and jack rustle mix <<she's a nutter) and have had all sorts of breeds and i just don't get what the problem is with pitbulls,they look and behave just like any other dog i've seen,same reactions same attention span and over all the best friend a person could ever have ,take time to learn about the dogs body language,it makes a huge difference.obviously this guy is a natural ,it looks more of a bond tween buddies

@TonicCheese My cousin's friend's pitbull was born and raised just fine. But she ended up killing my 6 year old cousin. :( Sadly, I have to say it's in their blood. Pitbull got their names in the pits to fight bulls. That probably snapped and the nice Kogoe tore my cousin up to death.

@TonicCheese I think it's the creators of the breed's fault. I'm sad to say, but it's in their nature. No matter how their bred or raised. My boyfriend owns two wolfdog hybrids. He told me that his dogs may kill him some day and if they do, he won't blame or hate them. He said it would be his fault for owning an animal with those kinds of instincts. I say, it's the luck of the card to own a pitbull/wild animal. I think pitbull owners shouldn't have young kids in the family.

@MarineEverGreen Actually, it's not. Pit Bulls were bred to fight, yes, but not to attack humans. They were supposed to have no aggression to humans whatsoever so when the owner had to pull the two dogs apart they wouldn't redirect on the person. I believe this video is right...they're not for the weak of heart. They require constant discipline. Not for aggression towards people, but dominance towards other animals. I have an Amstaff, and NOT ONCE has she ever been aggressive to a person.

Ive seen lot of different dogs attack even retrievers, I have seen people who have extremely trained pitbulls that they can walk around with other dogs and don't have problems. Its all about how much training time you put in with your dogs and use of non abusive methods for training hell I brought my dogs there own queen size bed to sleep in.

My dog has been attacked 7 times by strangers dogs wheh I've been walking him. 5 or those dogs were labradors the other two were muts. The labs whould have easily killed my dog if I hadn't managed to get him away. Also, my friend works for a vet and the most common breed they have to put down for attacking a person is a labrador.
In contrast the nicest dog I have ever met was a pit who was beaten and kicked by his previous drug adict owner.
I'd never own a lab now.

Lots of pitbull lovers post silly videos under misleading names to try to hide the truth about pits, but put "Pitbulls attack Cop and get Shot" or "Police shoot attacking pitbull" or "Pitbull Attack Caught on Tape!" or "Dog From Hell Attacks cant Die !!!" in your search window. These are 4 different youtube videos of actual pitbull attacks and shootings.
If you search "Woman Loses Arm in Pit Bull Attack" or "Pit-bull attacks its owner" you will get news reports of pits attacking owners.

Im guessing that the owner and video-tape-er of this one still reads comments.. So I congratulate you on being close with your bully. Alot of fools will say bullies are bad but its usualy "unsavory" types of people or even people that cant dedicate enough time to their bully that land up in the news, and dont get as much respect with their dog the way you do with yours. when they see another dog and when they are given the key word, they will kill that other dog or animal their owner wants them too. All they want to do is please their owners. They think that the owners love them when they only love what they can do to another living creature. I just hope one day that everyone will get the message that American Pit Bull Terriers (or other breeds related) are not bad dogs. Every dog has a problem. I hope that everyone will eventually figure out that it's wrong!

MOST of the time it is down to the owner if you get your pet from its mother when its ready to leave and you train your dog properly you dont have these problems i know lots of pitbulls trained and they ar great dogs its down to the owner its not always the dogs fault

@GexAlmighty This is actually incredibly common with pitbull videos on YouTube. You can also look up Sharky the pitbull (he has a flock of egg-chickens, a cat, and some little rodent critters as friends).
