Lies. Warcraft 3 has little to do with math, chess is nothing but math. Warcraft 3 is rock, paper, scissor. Takes little brain and fast movement. Not very versatile. Much less, chess is balanced, Warcraft 3 isn't.

The thing is, no one wants to watch two guys sit at a table making decisions no one really understands. People watch to be entertained. In reality, official sports are extremely competitive games that are driven by popularity and money. Look at boxing. Yes, there's the boxing in and of itself but it's also quite dictated by popular demand.
