  • @Alta626 i've been pressing the last few days with the 90 degree theory and so for it's been working for me. there's a fitness trainer Scott herman and his video "How to Bench Press" explains why we shouldn't go all the way down.

  • I give you an B for physique but an F for form. You could get 225x8 with perfect form. Maybe 275x2. The hardest part of the bench press range of motion is within 3 inches of your chest. No doubt why you stay away from that area.

  • No he excepted the advice I gave him before about lowering the weight all the way down.1. its a fuller range of motion which will stimulate growth quicker,2.if he keeps lowereing it half way down theres no guarantee hes lowereing the weight the same depth each time compared to if he touched his chest each time and 3 if he lowers the weight about an inch lower than what he is used to theres a good chance the weight will drop right down on him causing possible injury.

    In football and wrestling they made us bench press and they made sure when we brought the bar down our arms were at a 90 degree and before pumping it back up....thats why lifters arch. To compensate for that bend when they touch their chest.

  • @NERD585 No, they arch to reduce range of motion. The bad angle you're talking about is caused by using the wrong grip width. It is corrected by fixing the grip width... not by stopping 5 inches above your chest.

  • @NERD585 No I don't think you understand me correctly. I'll try again; every time I try this lift, the person that's helping me inserts his penis into my butthole, and this happens a lot. I like doing the lifts, but I don't understand why they feel the need to insert their penis into my butthole; what does that have to do with lifting weights? I've never heard of this before. I've even tried different helpers, but it doesn't matter, each new helper eventually inserts his penis into my butthole.
