LOL.... no country has ever 'taxed themself into prosperity'. McCain is not our saviour....but I would rather take 4 years of his cheap ass rather than Obama and his 'MARXIST' agenda. Why do we have to have to through around crazy slurs like Marxist? Neither party has nominated a Marxist, no now not ever. Even FDR was anti-communist.
As for talk about countries "taxing to prosperity", this isn't really relevant since both candidates are basically free-trade guys, there are actually some examples of countries that have successfully used large tax revenues to support emerging industries. S. Korea, Taiwan, Japan, etc.

EasyEs,I don't begrudge the McCains their wealth. Good for them, but he's running for president in a time of great economic turmoil and he doesn't get it. I agree with you that a wealthy person can lead and improve the economy, but McCain isn't that man.The only thing he understands is the military machine.This is one American that is tired of war mongering.The only people making money are Haliburton and friends and McCain's "Bomb Bomb Bomb Iran" mantra will be a reality if he's elected.

I agree 100% with this comment...I truly do NOT begrudge John and Cindy their wealth. But I strongly believe McCain has war in his blood. This past week, he told a woman he agreed with her about having the draft. On Friday, Pat Buchanan wrote a scathing article about Randy Scheunemann, McCain's chief foreign policy guy. Scheunemann is a Neocon..member of PNAC...the same group Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, and Libby came from..PNAC strongly pushed Bush to going to war in Iraq.
