Get better at jump shots, he will be totally unstoppable. Who dribbles, passes better than Odom at 6 10? When he stays hot, he will be very damn hard to be guarded by anyone: he will shoot over smaller guards, crosses over big men. One of the best left handed players today. Kobe told shaq on national tv that he was sorry. He was asked if he spoke to shaq face to face to apologize. Kobe said no that he reached out to shaq thru a mutual friend. That's wack. Kobe also lied and said he didn't have shaqs number. Kobe said that he text bynum to apologize. Bynum said that kobe never contacted him to apologize. Kobe bryant cried wanting some help. He lied again and said that he didn't have Jerry Buss number.
Kobe cried about the lakers getting some help. The lakers tried desperately to get KG. When kobe was preparing for team USA and a reporter asked if kobe had called and talked to KG, he said no. KG was traded to the Celtics and KG said he considered the lakers but the kobe situation was still up in the air. I thought kobe wanted some help. Why not try to talk KG in becoming a laker. Doesn't make sense.
Kobe told phil jackson that he was tired of being a side kick. Although they had won 3 titles in 4 yrs. Kobe also said that he didn't work that hard on his game for it not to be displayed. Kobe also signed his contract a day or 2 after the shaq trade. Kobe also told Elgin Baylor that he was going to sign with the Clippers, but as soon as the shaq trade was finalized, he lied and signed with the lakers. Kobe can't be trusted.

Why does the Lakers matter? When Shaq, Rick, Derek, Payton, Malone, George, and Phil Jackson (although he came back) got ran off by Kobe, the Lakers died. It became all about Kobe and nothing about winning titles. That's why I love teams like the Pistons. They're about team ball, not superstardom!
I have to disagree. Besides the 4 50+ games, kobe had a poor finish to the yr. He was very inconsistent in his shooting and decision making. Kobe also went away from the offense way too much and had a lot of games were he shot below 45% from the field in the 2nd half of the yr. Kobe was one of the main reasons the lakers fell off. Overall, he had a very disappointing playoff series too and his defense was really weak. Kobe didn't show good leadership this yr. period.
I'm not sticking up for Kobe and I really don't like the guy but the Lakers are a team near the brink of the lottery. And if Kobe leaves all hell will break loose. All we had to do was trade that Bynum for Kidd and none of this shit would be happening.
I'm sick of all the excuses made for kobe and all of this team bashing. If you are going to call lamar inconsistent then lets call kobe inconsistent, cuz he's our #1 option who has had 51 out of 82 games where he shoots under 50%. Kobe got beat off the dribble and was late on rotations just as much as the rest of the lakers. I've seen steve blake, jarred jack and linas kleiza(nuggets) have career games on kobe because he was late on rotations.

The three years that the bulls were eliminated by the bulls,they at least made it to the conference finals. and remember when M.J left,Pippen got them aways into the playoffs even though they were eliminated by New York. If Kobe just up and left before the last couple of seasons,then without a doubt with odom as the main scoring option,they would be at the bottom of the NBA.

Kobe is the franchise. He has been since shaq left. With the team in place right now,there is less pressure on him. and odom deserves credit. no doubt there. But to say that he is even the second best player on the team is ludicrous. to say that he is Kobe's pippen is B.S. Kobe's the only reason they have been in the playoffs. Cmon now!!! 50 points IN THE PLAYOFFS TO BEAT THE SUNS IN THE FIRST GAME. If Odom were a more competent scorer,he would not have to do that. nough said.

he's got hte body of an all star. a fast player who strons and is athletic. i'm sure having kobe on your team makes it hard to shine. he is definetly a kidn of player you can build around. he could be an all star player. it's jsut kobe gets the ball more. if he was totally healthy he could be a all star caliber. if he didn't ahve kobe gasol and bynum on his team. they take his points

Get better at jump shots, he will be totally unstoppable. Who dribbles, passes better than Odom at 6 10? When he stays hot, he will be very damn hard to be guarded by anyone: he will shoot over smaller guards, crosses over big men. One of the best left handed players today. Kobe told shaq on national tv that he was sorry. He was asked if he spoke to shaq face to face to apologize. Kobe said no that he reached out to shaq thru a mutual friend. That's wack. Kobe cried about the lakers getting some help. The lakers tried desperately to get KG. When kobe was preparing for team USA and a reporter asked if kobe had called and talked to KG, he said no. KG was traded to the Celtics and KG said he considered the lakers but the kobe situation was still up in the air. I thought kobe wanted some help. Why not try to talk KG in becoming a laker. Doesn't make sense.

Kobe told phil jackson that he was tired of being a side kick. Although they had won 3 titles in 4 yrs. Kobe also said that he didn't work that hard on his game for it not to be displayed. Kobe also signed his contract a day or 2 after the shaq trade. Kobe also told Elgin Baylor that he was going to sign with the Clippers, but as soon as the shaq trade was finalized, he lied and signed with the lakers. Kobe can't be trusted.

Why does the Lakers matter? When Shaq, Rick, Derek, Payton, Malone, George, and Phil Jackson (although he came back) got ran off by Kobe, the Lakers died. It became all about Kobe and nothing about winning titles. That's why I love teams like the Pistons. They're about team ball, not superstardom!

last season the entire starting 5 of the lakers, with the exception of kobe bryant, were injured with most of the injuries being severe.

I have to disagree. Besides the 4 50+ games, kobe had a poor finish to the yr. He was very inconsistent in his shooting and decision making. Kobe also went away from the offense way too much and had a lot of games were he shot below 45% from the field in the 2nd half of the yr. Kobe was one of the main reasons the lakers fell off. Overall, he had a very disappointing playoff series too and his defense was really weak. Kobe didn't show good leadership this yr. period.

I'm sick of all the excuses made for kobe and all of this team bashing. If you are going to call lamar inconsistent then lets call kobe inconsistent, cuz he's our #1 option who has had 51 out of 82 games where he shoots under 50%. Kobe got beat off the dribble and was late on rotations just as much as the rest of the lakers. I've seen steve blake, jarred jack and linas kleiza(nuggets) have career games on kobe because he was late on rotations.

If kobe has so much more determination then why in game 1 this year in the playoffs against the suns, did kobe settle for shooting 3 pointers and fadaway jumpers over double teams in the 4th quarter missing mostly all of them. The lakers had a 3 point lead going into the 4th and kobe was playing team ball for 3 quarters. But in the 4th he decided to ball hog and go away from what was working. Odom is an all-star caliber player... remember the first 3 games w/ out Kobe he was putting up ridiculous numbers 34, 22, 28 pts, 13, 9, 4 rebounds 6,9, 6 assists. He just needs to play like he's a super-star, cuz he's got the skillz of one. Name me one player that can stop him 1 on 1. Tim Duncan? Too slow, he'd drive past him. Bruce Bowen? Too small he'd just post. Honestly, I think he's a matchup nightmare... I'd like to see someone refute this.
