Hello Im really interested in sar but Im wondering why they dont get paid. I only have 5 more months to decide what i want to do with my life since this is my last year in high school and want to do something like this. I was really into flying helicopters until something personal happened and stopped me from pursuing that career. Do you have any suggestions on a paid out door rescue job? Thank you:)

Thank you for the question. As a volunteer, I don't know of any community paid search and rescue but I imagine if you would check with your local fire station they might be able to direct you to careers in Search and Rescue. Best wishes!

Thank you for your quick reply, I will take your advice and ask my local fire department in las vegas. Im presently in L.A but am gonna move to vegas as soon as I graduate:)
