i hope you can understand spanish: el ice cream headache se produce por un cambio brusco de temperatura en el paladar. Lo que pasa con los perros es que antes de que choque con el paladar, los perros lamen la comida, es por eso que en este caso no se preoduce el brain freeze. ice cream headaches are from us cooling the roof of our mouth too fast, that sends pain to the head, mostly because its so close to the brain. It could be that dogs get that too but beacause of their elongated snout (is that the word?) the roof of their mouths is not as close to the brain as it is with humans. Probably they don't get ice cream headaches. I hope you find this helpful. =)
