i dont speak spanish so i will tell you how to fix it in english . first eject the power cord and the battery then press the power button for 15 sec after that your pc will lose all the power put back the battery and the power cord and press the power button now it should work . i tested this on my hp pavilion dv 1000
my having same problem ... there is a power cord connect to computer but power button wont work......---try to push DVD button(next to power button) or either using remote control to turn on instead.
@lucasdrimer I cant fix that. It is very strange, after trying turning it on for a while it simple starts. I cant understand. To keep my self calm, I decided to buy a new one and I left my DV1000 in a box over my roof :-(
@TheICESTOP yeah u can get a 2.5 sata hdd they are smaller when compared to your regular desktop hard drive....u can get higher capacities like a 500 gb would be good..

HP loves when youput yours in the basket and buy a new one. It´s called "programing obsolence". Google it. Go out and buy a brand new one, guys.
