@ricwilly i have the generation 2 mainz gladius sword also did you sharpen it at all and if so how please let me know thanks and keep makeing the awsome vids my fellow roman sword collector.lol

@MrFavre4eva I got my G2 mainz second hand and I did sharpen it. I used one of those Harbor Freight 1/30 belt sanders.

you know roman sword wasent used for cutting like that more like crush and stick

@PeriferiaSud90 I don't know what you mean by "crush" but yes I know that gladii are generally considered stabbing weapons.

Did you know that most people start their sentences with a capital letter and end them with a period. I might add that "wasent" is spelled wasn't but do as you like. I do.

how do you sharpen these

@GrantPacquiao65274 I use a 1x30 Harbor Freight belt sander with a higher grit belt and finish up with a leather stropping belt.

Thanks, Storkenkopf, it's hard to pick a favorite as that changes from time to time. I'd say my KC gladius if my current favorite shortie.

As to the longer ones, I'd say my KC teutonic, not including my Albion Poitiers of course.
