technically, no it's not. Sugarhill records had a house band that re-played all the music. Samplers didn't exist yet. Bass Player for Rapper's Delight was Doug Wimbish who years later became part of the all black metal band Living Colour.

rapper's delight didn't sample good times. Although the basslines are almost identical, no actual cuts of the original records are in rappers delight. It was rerecorded by a different band and everything
