Does anyone know if you can use this tuner for more than one mustang because my sister has an 2004 mustang and i have a 2008 and i wanted to know if we could just buy one tuner and share it
@xXLtSlappyXx The tuner will vin lock to the car, so if you want to install it on another car you have to completely remove it from the car it's been installed on. So it will work on multiple vehicles, but it only works on one vehicle at a time. So if you want both cars tuned at the same time, you'll have to buy two tuners.
I have 2 questions when you first order this is it ready to plug and play or do you have to update the software off the computer and stuff??? Second my 99 mustang has a ton of miles (170k) would you still reccamand i by this ?
@cjw024 It comes ready to just plug in and program the car typically. Sometimes they need updated, but usually not. That's the case with any tuner though. It will work fine on a higher miles car.
@ChrisLovesDRUMS I prefer a tuner to a chip. A chip you have to send to someone to have the pieces soldered in, and if your cars computer gets damaged in shipping (that never happens) then you have a big paper weight. A tuner you can program the car and and you're ready to go. A lot of people like the chip for the custom tuner for the car, but you can take your tuner to a place with a dyno and get a custom tune too. The tuner also reads/clears trouble codes and has other features. I like tuners
@zantomun It plugs in under the dash and has on screen instructions that tell you how to do everything. It comes with pre-made programs for tuning the car. It's very easy to use.

would it be more beneficial to get a chip and tuner?
ChrisLovesDRUMS 1 year ago
@ChrisLovesDRUMS No, you can only use one or the other.
