This is just about note perfect. This coupled with throw down the sword are two of the finest solos ever to grace the rock word. I bought Argus when I was 20, I'm now 30 and it still gets played frequently. If only Blackmore had joined Ash they'd be the perfect band.

I learned this solo right after the album came out in 1972. I was always told it sounded note for note just like the record, which of course it was. No brag, just fact. This guy is the closest I've ever heard besides me, but he still sounds sloppy. I have the audio tape of one of my 1972 gigs if anybody doubts me.
