She is not "ALL-AMERICAN" as you so state. If you think about it, no one is because Americans are a combination of many ethnic groups (like how Alicia is Italian and Bridget is probably Irish). Just to say she's more Russian she was invited to the Aleksei Nemov show in 2006.

@ SweetaRoxious- The reason Nastia's waist is wider than Mom's has everything to do with artistic gymnastic training/conditioning vs. rhythmic gymnastic conditioning. Artistic gymnasts have very-well developed shoulder, back & abdominal muscles - b/c they need tremendous strength throughout the torso. When the back & abs are so developed,it gives the appearance of having "no waist".
Rhythmic gymnasts don't need nearly as much upper-body strength...they are trained more like ballet dancers.
Sacramone couldnt perform well during the competition and has the balls to lie! The US team was the one and only team that was making the false accusation against the Chinese, no any other teams did. I dont think she coaches anymmore. I know she designs Woga leotard and handles most of the office work. She use to help the US program but not anymore.
@Naomis - I see where you're coming from, but it's a bit unfair to compare Nastia's & Anna's performance. You're dealing with two different sports & two different eras. Rhythmic gymnastics has/had a lot more room for "flair" (especially in the '80s) - & they are specficially trained to be very flexible. Artistic gymnasts must be at least as strong as they are flexible, so that explains why Nastia isn't as flexible. (Still - Nastia is very flexible & fluid for a modern-day artistic gymnast.)

@ SweetaRoxious- The reason Nastia's waist is wider than Mom's has everything to do with artistic gymnastic training/conditioning vs. rhythmic gymnastic conditioning. Artistic gymnasts have very-well developed shoulder, back & abdominal muscles - b/c they need tremendous strength throughout the torso. When the back & abs are so developed,it gives the appearance of having "no waist".
Rhythmic gymnasts don't need nearly as much upper-body strength...they are trained more like ballet dancers.

Sacramone couldnt perform well during the competition and has the balls to lie! The US team was the one and only team that was making the false accusation against the Chinese, no any other teams did. If she lose, lose with dignity and people will respect that way. Focus on the training instead of lying like this Olympic loser. @Naomis - I see where you're coming from, but it's a bit unfair to compare Nastia's & Anna's performance. You're dealing with two different sports & two different eras. Rhythmic gymnastics has/had a lot more room for "flair" (especially in the '80s) - & they are specficially trained to be very flexible. Artistic gymnasts must be at least as strong as they are flexible, so that explains why Nastia isn't as flexible. (Still - Nastia is very flexible & fluid for a modern-day artistic gymnast.)
