Even if the parent is missing, (but still alive), one of them must come to see their sim kid go to college.

They still consider Bella as part of their family even though she is missing somewhere in the game. She's part of the family tree, and they'll use her for the cutscene of Mortimer is already dead.

@ThePopitropi1 its not the real Bella....you have to use a cheat to get the real bella....but se dies as soon as you exit the game. That's what is said....I have Bella back in pleasantview and she has yet to die if I exit the entire game.

@HeatherLaraRose No, its just with Bella I think... There are ways of solving it on the wiki I think. Also, if Alexander goes to college when Mortimer is already dead Bella should be in the cutscene.

@MayokoLove No, just get rid of her Death Token and she stays. Add her as a contact, then when she dies, call Grimmie and ask to get her back. And then have her renew her vows. Sadly, she has an empty character file, so you'll have to either edit it with SimPE or pull up her old file. It's buried somewhere in the game, but the coding's a little messed up. There are a few Bellas floating around online, too.

@urmomstoxicface Noooo....you dont need the Sims 2 Store Edition. I had just the base game and University installed and that still happened! :) What operating system do you have? When I had my XP it didnt do any special event cams. Even if I went to options, it wouldn't let me turn on special events cam...i think the graphics card in XP isnt capable of it. I have a vista now and am planning on getting Windows 7 soon.
