@SuperNatasha13 lol easy on the swearing. On the N8, all you have to do is long press the on/off switch for 8 seconds and the device will switch off if it freezes. You don't have to use screws or whatever lol.

@loversjail The touch screen response on both the N8 and C7 is exactly the same! I would recommend the N8 for its better features, but the C7 surely looks more elegant/professional. The N8 looks sturdy. You can't go wrong with either! Or maybe you should wait for the Nokia 701. It looks exactly like the C7 but comes with better processor and more RAM. Its coming out to shops very soon!
@allessandrapotpot have you seen symbian belle? things are about to change for nokia on the OS front. Symbian belle looks fantastic :) check it out if you haven't seen it already. Coming to all current symbian^3 devices.
@aboodesta yeah but nokia's touchscreen phones have a purple screen issue. google it mate - n8/c7 purple screen issue. they have a forum about this on nokia's own website.
And besides belle, anna, symbian 3, meego and maemo have no apps

@allessandrapotpot not all units are affected. My N8 doesn't have this problem, not to mention that I can barely notice it on the C7! It doesn't affect usability at all. And the new phones don't have this problem. You're saying they have no apps, let me ask you a question. How many apps do you use on a daily basis? I use very few apps but i play a lot of 3d games nokia's single core processors can't run. there is hope for nokia actually because you can run android games using a simulator on nokia's meego. I really like nokia's make. It always looks good and very durable but adopting WP7 is like admitting that symbian cant match ios and android
@allessandrapotpot you're right, but Nokia was kind enough to offer a replacement to those who had a device affected! I see, if games aren't your thing, current Nokia devices don't offer as many games as android or iOS, but most people don't play a lot of games on their phones. Current symbian phones have a few nice games too though. Btw, I'm one of those people who believe adopting wp7 was taken too early. Symbian still has a chance. It just needed a prettier simpler UI which is what belle is.
@aboodesta sorry but nokia did not replaced my sister's c7 as well as with other people in the forums. i guess for people who are not into games, apps and browser speed symbian might be appealing. i know a lot of ladies hate android because they say its too techie. I think this is reason why symbians are named after ladies. One thing is for sure, nokia will always be better than dumb ugly phone they call Blackberry

If so, is the purple screen still present? btw, symbian has many of the core apps covered in the ovi store... whatsapp, skype, and many others. There is also opera 11 browser which is fantastic. If you haven't downloaded it yet, I highly recommend you do so. Not to mention symbian comes out of the box with many useful apps like maps, photo editing, email and so on. But yeah, BBs are definitely the worst :)

I was trying to decide out of N8 and C7, in the end I got n8, as shop i went to didn't stock c7. Am very pleased with what I got, even though c7 has bigger c disc, 512mb rather than 256, not that it has limited my enjoyment of N8. If E7 was out at time I would have gone for that, though it is expensive.
