I heard that some fled and started the Free Masons.. And there is in fact proof that some of them escaped persecution and sailed to North America, and this happened a coupel of hundred years before Columbus did. There have been ideas that possibly where most Templars fled was into Switzerland. That's why the Swiss are good bankers is because it was passed down to them by the fleeing Templar's who were forced into exile in other lands. The Templar Knights got their Orders Of Secrecy, but during the Times of Crusades, their Orders Of Secrecy have gotten disarranged because of many other Concealed Organizations just similar to their own Orders.

This documentary was ridiculous. First of all, all religious worship is a "ritual". Why do they make it sound and seem like what we Catholics do is Satanic? Also, we Catholics still use relics of the saints. This wasn't a practice that was abandoned. They have performed miracles. We don't worship the saints. We simply ask them for God's help. I also find it strange that they don't really tell us what the Muslims were doing that would bring a group like the Knights Templar to form.

After a few centuries of steady conquests, Muslim armies had taken all of North Africa, the Middle East, Asia Minor and most of Spain.
