  • @tmack727 You're welcome. I had a great time going out in it. Felt like I should be gettin a check from the weather channel. ;)

  • this is amazing ,I love winter ,snow ,blizzard

thank you for posting this ,it is helping me to fight a heat wave.

  • @mnightsky You're welcome. I love the snow too. Living in DC we rarely get storms like this. Glad it could help you cool off.

  • i never picked up my dog's shit in the yard this winter. when the snow melted it was a nightmare. clean yo dogs shit everybody, it doesn't go away!

  • @DJBMVEVO LOL. It was the same here in DC after all the snow from this storm melted except it was all over the sidewalks.

  • Oooh I smell shit, LOL.

  • @HowsaBowsaYowsa It was disgusting how many people stopped picking up after their dogs during and after those storms. Disgusting.

  • Who says Canada is where all the snow comes from? Lol!

    Great video

  • @Trund27 Thanks. We were glad to have it...or I was at least. Thanks for commenting.

  • @Trund27 Yea, you are so right I can never recall ever getting snowstorms like these Americans are getting and I feel bad for them and yet they say Canada is the coldest country and we live in igloo's.

  • did you get run over by the truck at the end?

  • @thebaldsquid Unfortunately no...that would have been a great video. LOL.

  • @gfreakj LOL! you have a great sense of humor!

  • @thebaldsquid Thanks.

  • I live in Norway it's like 5 inches over the hole country now, including the coast. Some places near me are there more then 2 fot

  • @fredrikjonas We got about an inch today. I am hoping for more later this winter. What is a normal amount of snow for Norway this time of year? 2 feet sounds like lots of fun.

    Thanks for commenting.

  • @gfreakj Northern Norway and East-Norway normally have like 10 inches this time of year and at easter it's easily 3 foot of snow. While some places only have snow on the mountains.

  • i live in scotland and its like 19 centimeters write now

  • @bradleyrae2 Its snowing very close to where I live but DC has mountains to the west of us and things get hung up there sometimes. Some places 2 hours from here have gotten 18 inches of snow over the last 3 days. Nothing here. Hope you are able to enjoy the snow. Thanks for commenting.,

  • @coughlink7 I agree. It was a lot of fun. I am hoping for the same. Thanks for commenting.

  • That was Cold

  • @MrSpeedking13 Indeed it was. Hoping for more this season. Thanks for commenting.

  • @gfreakj yes, ok :D ciao

  • this is just perfect,it's so beautiful and quiet, exactly that I like...wish I have a winter like this here

  • @01703982 It was rare for dc. We usually only get 10 to 15 inches per season. Last year we got 45 . It was great. Thanks for commenting.

  • damn is this real the citty completly abandoned 0.0

  • @mortalsgrief When it gets cold and snowy here people stay inside. There were other people out that I could hear. Just couldn't see them.

  • THATS WHY I MOVED TO ATLANTA

  • @brooklynse LOL. I loved it. I have lived here my whole life. We have never had a winter like this past one. But I understand the sentiment.

  • @gfreakj i LOVE dc it sparks so many memories seeing 16th. i used to swim at marie reed and then i would go to columbia road to the safeway (is it still there). thanks for the posts keep them coming. ps let me know how the tee shirt venture is going your comical interpretations should def be in print lol

  • @brooklynse That Safeway is still there but has gotten much bigger.

I met with the artist that would be doing the illustrations for them this weekend. She is very talented. Now all thats left is to get the supplies together. Ill keep you up to date.

  • @brooklynse

Snow is rare in parts of Canada, too! White Rock (near Vancouver) registered Canada's warmest winter for the (2009 - 2010) winter season. Its winter was warmer than Dallas this winter season (avg. temperature) and much warmer than Atlanta!. Considering this region of Canada also has the lightest average wind speeds on the continent and it had a much milder winter than Dallas and especially Atlanta this last winter season! Surprised?

  • Whats with people in the South and pulling up their wipers when it snows? I've never seen anyone do that up here in Pittsburgh so I find it strange.

  • @xpensfanatic2009 Funny beacuse I learned it in upstate NY. Keeps the ice from from the melting snow from freezing your wiper baldes to the windshield. At lewast thats why I do it.

  • @gfreakj that makes sense maybe i should try it. i never saw in anywhere really in western pa though so i thought it was from a different place.

  • @xpensfanatic2009 It worked well during the storms last winter. Maybe the rteason it is more in the south is because we tend to get more ice storms then snow storms in a normal year.

  • @xpensfanatic2009 That's true but I really hate trying to get off the ice from the wiper blades so I may try it this year.

  • we most nuke america :D

  • @NeverKnowsBests What chu talkiin bout?

  • i dont really see anything blow around on the grond or trees bending visibility looks alright. doesnt look like a blizzard, looks like a heavy snow, 32 inches at dulles beats any previous record set in DC.

  • @ajgolfer1 The second storm was more blizzard like. After both storms i had about 30 inches in my backyard. Thanks for commenting.

  • I'm a snow fanatic, crazy about this kind of snow though

  • It was so much fun going ouit in it. We in DC have never experienced anything like that in the 37 years I have lived here. Hope we get more...next winter. Thanks for commenting.

  • HILARIOUS......I enjoyed taking the journey with you!

  • Glad you liked it.

  • Feb. 11th 2010 and Texas has gotten 5+ inches at 9am and news just said expect 5 - 7 more. 12 inches in one day in February?? WTF? This is Texas, home of 110 degree summer days for months and 80 degree fall temps. not N. Dakota.

  • Crazy winter. I'm loving it. Does Tx handle snow better then DC?

  • hay u guys r now getting taste of canada. come to toronto this is normal some times..

  • Id love to live somewhere this is normal. I am a northener stuck in the south.

  • Let me see if I understand this, from those who commenting on gobal warming . We are getting more snow than has ever been recorded (they started keeping records some time in the 1800's) and we never had two storms this close together or three storms this size in a season ever, and they are not getting snow in vancouver canada where these snow storms would be normal and this would have nothing to do with climate change ( gobal warming) You think THIS IS NORMAL?

  • @changwute

Snow is rare in parts of Canada, too! White Rock (near Vancouver) registered Canada's warmest winter for the (2009 - 2010) winter season. Its winter was warmer than Dallas this winter season (avg. temperature). Considering this region of Canada also has the lightest average wind speeds on the continent and it had a much milder winter than Dallas this last winter season! By the way, Vancouver snows in the mountains (not in the city!) - Just like LA California snows in its mountains

  • @vancouvermild So what your saying is that the olympics committee pick an area with little or no snow to hold the winter games while we we're buried under more snow than ever in the history of balto- wash. area

  • @changwute

On the contrary, they picked places with an over-abundance of snow. Whistler mountain, several thousand feet in the air and an hours drive from Vancouver, had loads of snow! That's where most of the outdor events took place. The media was over-focused on Cypress Mountain, which was relatively bare at the level of the sports events. Vancouver (the valley city) is lush green every February. They didn't pick the actual city of Vancouver to host any winter events - IMPOSSIBLE!

  • @vancouvermild Are you IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MrSpeedking13

Brilliant comment! Please specify? You do know the meaning of the word "specify"...correct?

  • @vancouvermild hmmmmm no I dont know, Are you a idiot?! I know :D your IDIOT!!

    Fuck your Mother. Your dumbass!

  • @changwute

To be more precise, all the events that took place in the actual city of Vancouver were all indoors.

  • @vancouvermild weird febuary 22 is my birthday

  • This is snow that little girls play in.. Its not that bad people get a life lol

  • LOL...iit's the end of the world aaaahhhhh! lol

  • Thank you very much for braving to shoot & upload the video , for all of us to watch.IF i were there , i too had stroled like you. But, hey what sound your video is about?is it traffic, or cloud collision?

  • It was fun to be out in it. The sound is the wind blowing.

  • thats not so bad.. enjoy it

  • I am enjoying it. Its great.

  • So much for global warming!! Texas had snow in December that broke 40+ year old records. coldest winter I can remember here. Wind chill was 10 last night had fireplace and heater running, very unusual for Texas.

  • People around here are saying the same thing. Global what??? LOL

DC normallt gets 15 inches every winter. This year near 50. Incredible and fun.

  • The pathetic part of the "Al Gore global warming" is he owns stock in the company he pushes as one of the solutions. Yet they say his private jet pollutes in 1 flight as your american made auto in a years time.

Do as I say, not as I do. Practice what you preach Gore then I might listen, until then practice what you preach!

    Randy Rhoads FOREVER!!!

  • LOl. He is a repulsive human being...as a re most current and former politicians.

  • I live in Landover and we have a whole crap load of snow and I haven't seen a snow plow yet.And to make it even worse The dumpsters in my appartment building haven't been dumped in days there full of trash and snow. I do not envy the person who has to clean that mess up

  • I didnt even think of it. Her the problem is all the dog poop in the neighborhood that people arent scooping. I strted to notice it yesterday as the snow melted. Now add another layer...lovely. Enjoy it if you can. WE WILL SURVIVE!!! LOL

  • yea I know what thats like my neighborhood has a lot of dogs two. Me personally I have small dogs and its hard to get them to the bathroom because they get covered in snow

  • I usually have to dig out a path for my dog in our backyard or he will go on himself. I never thought Id be shoveling the grass. LOL The things we do for our dogs.

  • yea but ya gotta luv em

  • Yup. Somehow we are the masters but we seem to be doing all of the work. They got us trained well.

  • I read they ran out of salt. And actually, another thing, now that the snow STArts MELTING, you see how many damage the asphalt has, like rips and cracks, so they already start fixing :)

  • My street is mangled. I just saw a guy that was stuck. He was spinning his tires so much pieces of rubber were coming off. They announced that if we havent seen a plow yet we probably wont see one for a few days. Brilliant!

  • you americans dont know snow

  • hahaha u dumb motha fucka read a map :P

  • Move to Wisconsin, this is nothing!

  • MODERN DAY NARNIA

  • Yes it is. I wish I had a sleigh. I'd get around easier.

  • i wish we could get snow like that here in saginaw, mi. this blows. theres barely any snow also i barely got to use my snowmobile.

  • We seem to be getting everyone elses snow this year. Lucky us. I love it.

  • Im still shoveling

  • You in DC? How much snow did u get?

  • Lol I'm actually about 15minutes away from DC and we got about the same amount. Can you believe how this second storm? This is INSANE :D

  • wow thats nice! ,, i live in an area that barely rains in the winter!! this video gave me an idea how snow storms look like =)

  • This is something we've never seen in my lifetime. I've been here my whole life. It's great. We better enjoy it while it's here. It will be another 20 years before it happens again.

    Where do you live?

  • I love how you kept saying the wind was blowing right in your face at the very beginning, but you were obviously walking the same direction as the wind was blowing... LOL Also... great info, but try to hold the camera more steady, I had Blair Witch Project flashbacks.... LOL

  • LOL. My stupid ass was not dressed properly at all. Sorry for the shakes.

The wind was swirling all around. It would be blowing in my face and then hit me in the side of the face. It was great.

Ill try to be a better storm reporter in the future. lol

  • Thanks for taking the walk and show the snow around. I appreciate it. Although I have been in DC quite a few times I can not tell where you are at. Take 1, very good!

  • Thanks. I am up near Adams Morgan. It was fun. It seems I'll have another chance tomorrow night. Another possible blizzard. 10 to 16 inches of dry snow and heavy wind. Woo Hoo. lol

  • fuck shoveling

  • I'd let god "shovel" it for me.

  • @YTPisme This was wet heavy snow. It wont go anywhere unless I move it. Plus i would not have been able to get out the next day if I hadnt done it in stages.

  • @beyondlame lol. Problem is if I dont shovel dog and I wont get out.

  • There's something really cool looking about a snow covered city at night.

I see your small street though and can't wait to hear your rant later St, - Sun, about how well DC handles plowing your road. LOL

  • LOL trust me...its coming soon.

  • Cornellus Carter, Jr. Educational Building..., you just keep piling on the landmarks for your residence.

But that is a lot of snow though.

  • Your very observant....sliiiightly disconcerting. LOL

  • Is it not normal for DC to snow? I'm in Europe, Switzerland, here it snows soooo much, in fact, about in all Europe they dont have salt anymore, so sometimes there are ICE layers in the asphalt :) crazy.

  • We average 15 inches a winter season. We got 22 in our first storm. Its a huge mess here. Plus our local governments arent good at snow removal.

  • Haha, I can imagine so :) since in Switzerland they ARE good with controlling snow, like cleaning overnight the driving lanes and side streets for people walking on foot. But this year, whole Europe doesn't have SALT anymore, so its a huge mess over here too :) like an ICE AGE is coming :)

  • Is there a salt shortage? Or just so much snow they ran out. I know they said DC area has little salt left and a lot of the equiptment is damaged. Doesnt give me confidence they will be able to handle outr next big storm tonight and tomorrow.
