Damn, you must play at least a few hours a day. I've been playing for 2 1/2 and I can barely play it at 3/4 speed. How did you get your picking so fast?
i've been playin just under 2 years n u'll have to check my effort out, it's no where near ur standard, i can't alternate pick for shit, so i did it all down
I've been playing for just on a year and everyone I know tells me the importance of alternate picking so I just try and learn to play every song that way now. Start doing it now and you'll soon get it down; it's frustrating as fuck and you'll probably turn to shit when you first try but persevere!

It's called a pinch harmonic you hold the pick a special way and touch the string with you hand for a short time. There's videos on youtube of them.
