Yeah, makes sense of why their first album was titled OPIATE lol...Maynard is known to be a hyprocritcal asshole, but he is a damn good musician.

I've heard him bash drugs and drug users like they are the worst people on earth, yet he used to be a HUGE junkie.doing shit like LSD, Heroin, Cocaine, Alcohol, etc.but a lot of people get like that when they "sober up". They feel bad they used to be that way so they make it a point to be an asshole to people that currently struggle with addiciton

@TheMorbidmirage No, I do not believe Maynard was ever a junkie. The band has admitted to experimenting with various drugs. But here, Opiate has more to do with religion ("the opiate of the masses") than the drug class.
