  • Comment removed

  • Infectious and suicidal kicks major rectum !!

  • I LOVE THIS

    wow

it reminds me of the chili peppers

    in a way

  • They're all great players, but Trujillo makes this band's sound what it is....pure awesomeness. My humble opinion anyway...

  • i love it

  • THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ASESOME.

  • Does anyone have guitar tabs 4 this song?

  • Rob Trujillo, is my freaking idol.

  • bass is fuckin awesome. trujillo ought to play like dis for metallica

  • When you join Metallica you have to follow the guitar player because you ain't Cliff.

  • The sad thing is his thrash funk style with alot of slapping doesn't fit in with Metallica's speed metal stuff ! At least with metallica he will get a nice pay check, witch he deserves .

  • true dat

  • yeah

  • more of these types of lines need to be in metallica =). all in favor say I

  • the bass and guitar riff are fucking awesome!!!!

  • Listen to his fkn bass thats WHY!

  • Master Piece!!!!!!

  • Why are people talking about Metallica on a Infectious Grooves video?

  • Their bassist, Rob Trujillo, played in this band.

  • because incase you didnt know trujillos in metallica

  • I know that, but this isn't Metallica this is Infectious Grooves.

  • haha, didn't know Tank Girl was in this vid

  • GO TRUJILLO ROCK OUT ON THE BASS!!!

  • yeah because st. anger was all about corporate dollars. Not saying it was a good record but saying it was all about corporate dollars is just retarded.

  • lol wut? I didn't realise that when a band changes their sound it means they must be doing it for money.

  • first heard this band on beavis and butthead took me for ever to find it again glade i did tho good shit

  • man robs bass tone is Filthy! -meaning good

  • Wow that bass is fucking wicked

  • i was listening and i was about to change it then i heard the fucking guitar and i was like "Holy shit"

    Rob kicks ass man

  • Rob plays Bass not guitar......itz a sick Bass intro

  • i know, he is my favorite bass player :).

i said when i heard the "guitar" i was like "wow" :D

  • Convert to Ringtone on Tube2Tone[dot]com

  • no suprise he got into metallica that trujillo is HEAVY MAN

  • fucking crazy bassline :)

  • thats the guitarist from excel

  • groso temaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • trujillo

is the hart of that band

  • omg hear the bassssssssssssssssssssssssssssss O.O

  • trujillo can play mean bass

  • whoever produced this video is a genius

  • Ok, here is the place for Robert, so WHY THE FUCK HE IS NOT HERE?

  • This is so fucking 90's right here.

  • I know. I love the hell out of it. Somewhere in between the checkered background and weird camera angles you say "90's."

  • Well done!

  • I wish I was an MMA fighter so I could use this as my entry tune!

  • i dont get 1 thing, metallica said claypool is to funky for them, then they take some1 of equal funk value

  • Suicidal Tendencies is closer to thrash than Primus is..

  • According to Les that quote is bullshit, they didn't take him cuz they thought he was a freak.

  • Id believe that over Les being to funky. Its about the personal chemistry between the band members.

  • and much better technically then them

  • Thats what the fuck I said. I think claypool could have saved metallica but then again Im happy he didnt join because we wouldnt have all these bad ass primus albums. Metallica died when Cliff died.

  • there were four people in Metallica when Cliff passed on, man. A friend of mine told me a long time ago, "Cliff was awesome, but he wasn't the band," and I agree, but in no way should it diminish Cliff's contribution to Metallica as a whole.

Part of Metallica died in '86, but Metallica is still around. The only thing is that panache that Cliff had is somewhere else in the world waiting to be tapped.

  • @TheGrung3 Yes, but Rob has equal metal value.

  • @TheGrung3

    trujilo isn't equal to claypool

he is good but still got to practice a lot ...

  • Rob is crazy on bass!

  • Its awesome how much of an influence Rob has on metallica. You can tell in the DM album. He came up with a lot of the riffs for a few of those songs.

  • people this is suicidal tendencies solo band notice who the base player is ... can any one say metallica ?

  • i totally agree this sounds totally like the old school RHCP

  • holy shit i knew rob trujillo was badass but u cant tell in metallica damn hes badasser in this band

  • Listen to Papa Baloo!

you know we gotta be atleast a lil cool if we know this song..

    myspace (.com/) papabaloo

  • Absolutely. Who cares...apple & oranges.

  • does anyone else hear a high resemblance to old red hot chili peppers when they hear infectious grooves? like Mothers Milk, Freaky Styley albums.

  • umm no not at all...trujillo is way faster bass player than flea when it comes to riffs...popping and slapping his faster but not variated much...

  • I think Trujillo bass talents are kinda wasted with Metallica becuase there is no room to get funky when your playing speed metal. I am happy for him though because Metallica with give him the big Pay Day he deserves that I doubt he got with his other bands.

  • Rob very fast from day dot,try suicidal tendencies for more rob

  • What a fucking bass holy fuck. My guitar teacher showed this to me 2day and i was just like wtf. Man this kicks matallicas ass.

  • rob the trujillo kick bass ass line

  • Mike Muir for the win!

  • This a kickass musical experiment. It's like funk mixed with thrash.

  • trujillo >>>>> metallica

  • Robert Trujillo bass playing is bad ass!!!

  • Comment removed

  • More proof of why Rob Trujillo is one of the all time bass gods.

  • trujjlio was amazing here,

  • FUNK YEAH

  • Funk-Metal

  • O RLY? And so?

  • Comment removed

  • these guys were da best man funky punk metal everything

  • did they ever come out with an uncensored version of this song?

i cant find it anywhere on the internet

  • I wanna se Ryan Martinie cover this song! that would be sick! :P

  • great song repetitive but still mad

  • lol this is pretty cool. what genre does this fall under?

  • FUNK METAL!

  • FUNK PUNK METAL!

  • Does it really exist ?

  • apparently so

  • Can someone do a bass cover of this song? That would be a cool test or even a contest.

  • you wanna see a cover of this song done?

    just bass yeah?

    i'll give it a shot.

gimme a few weeks and i'll try and have it up.

  • This song is not so difficult...

I wanna see someone do a bass cover of the infectious groove song from the Sarsippius' Ark album...

  • Without Trujillo Metallica would not be back on top form!

  • I don't like his work with metallica

you can barely hear his playing in a lot of songs because of how the guitars drown it out

i love this though, mad popping in the background sounds great

  • Did you not watch the making of Death Magnetic documentary? Did you not hear the interviews where Lars, Kirk and especially James praising Rob. Did you not see the vids of how many of he's Guitar riffs made it into songs like All Nightmare long, The End of the line and others? Have you always been retarded?

  • Name one? You are obviously in no way famililiar with the production of this album or the work and creativity of Rob. Go back to your Spice Girls CD

  • Grande Trujillo!!;).

  • omg this band is awesome! Trujillo the bass playin' gorilla beast!

  • this is there only good song

  • WTF??? ARE THIS GUYS

  • this is funk metal, Atalay. fuck you!

  • You really don't know how to funky it!

  • "a penny saved is a penny earned but i stole a case of beer and got a whole lot drunker" fuckin great line GO TRUJILLO hes much better with the infectious grooves

  • Trujillo is an awsome bassist but "metal" is not his real style. He's a groove/funk style bassist. That's why i like him much more in İnfectious Grooves ;)

  • yea but hes still plenty awsome in metallica!

  • True, but I think Cliff Burton (rest in peace.<3) was better.. He made the whole Jazz riffs in a mettal band thing work.

  • Sick bass!!!

  • Trujillo!!!!

  • she's hot though!! ....

    just sayin'.....

  • that bitch is bald!!

  • that chicks bald

  • I really love Metallica, but I think Robert is better in this band

  • yeah, Im all for Metallica kicking butt, but I wish Rob Trujillo could cut loose like he did with Grooves.

  • the girl in the video would be very cute with hair

  • Very popular among my fellow friends in Bologna. We had tons of loud gigs of bands like Infectious Grooves (Victims Family, Youth of Today, NOMEANSNO, Napalm Death, Flash Terrorists, John Zorn,...)

  • i love

  • Trujillo is a great motherfucker bass player. He and Rob Wright (NOMEANSNO) are my favorite bass monster!

  • Infectiuos Grooves rock. I found them kinda accidentally^^. I'm glad I did.

  • sticks and stones may break your bones but a 12" dick will blow your damn head off

  • lol.

  • just like it because of trujillo ;)

  • I LOVE IT!!!

  • WICKED BASS!

  • Any Metallica purists who talk shit about Rob's bass skills definetly need to listen to some Infectious Grooves.

  • (Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth.

  • this is the best music in the world...i love the bass with the drum

  • One of the Best 90's bands ! Trujillo is a monster 4 sure.

  • holy shit. this video was made to be watched stoned. fuck!! badass trip

  • i'd think ozzy's faces in the therapy vid would just about top this tho

  • Rob is a friggin bass monster! KICKS MAJOR ASS

  • con madres un de los mejores grupos de todos los tempos, SUICIDA PARA SIEMPRE, VIVA MEXICO CABRONES.

    Y TORREON

  • Infectious Grooves are AWESOME..

  • taste our stink?

  • love Rebert Monster of Bass!!!!

  • we need tankt support

  • metallica just needs rob to tear it up his way on the new songs

  • Never happen. lars and james are concieted pricks. It's their way or the high way.

  • Not true. History has shown that they're always relaxed on the first album with a new bassist. Cliff's bass was present a lot on Kill 'Em All, but the next two albums were almost all Cliff. Jason didn't have any presence on ...AJFA, but Black, Load, and ReLoad had plenty of input from Jason. Come next album, Rob will be present everywhere, as good as he is.

  • thank u lars pisses me off to no end

  • I'm infected with Infectious Grooves......and there is no cure.

  • If Les got into Metallica he wouldn't have time for Primus/ and his Frog Brigade and that would bloody suck. sure he would make lots of money, but he couldn't be his kooky self not to mention he'd be bored shitless.

  • Robert trujillo is the second greatest basit. Less claypool is the frist. In my opinion robert's his talents are beeing wasted with metallica. They are not a bad band they just dont use alot of bass in their songs. Im happy less claypool didnt get in metallica that would have sucked for him.

  • Are you kidding me? Metallica is widely known because of and for their bassists. Rob Trujillo is great and the acquiring of Rick Rubin were the two best moves Metallica have made in years.

  • Well yeah your right when you refer to thier early work. When claypool auditioned to bass in metallica they said claypool was just too good thats why I think now thier bass work is just to simple for trujillo. But I will give it to you, thier early work used alot more bass abd it was impresive. I also liked how much more thrashy they use to be.

  • Actually, from what I've heard, they didn't accept Claypool because he was too "out there." Metallica wanted to keep the hardcore thrash image apparently, and Claypool was a bit too "funky," so to speak. Claypool is a badass, but I don't know how he'd fit in with Metallica.

I miss the old thrash days too. Metallica doesn't have the drive or the anger that they used to have, so I don't think they'll ever be 100% back to their roots, but I do hope they get much more hardcore on the next album.

  • In an interview thats what metallica said he was to good, but I can understand if that was the actual reason. Primus and metallica are both good but completley diffrent. Claypool wouldnt have fit in. I alway though that..I mean metallicas first three albums are pure genius but after that they lost their thrash metal sound. I like enter sandman as much as any metallica fans but they are just too soft for my taste now.

  • this guy has the groove

    but i still missing cliff

  • well, for 1 thing, you can't bring back the dead

  • who is this incredible funky bassist? im really impressed...

  • Rob trujillo of metallic, formerly of black label society, ozzy osbourne and suicidal tendencies. I'm impressed too!

  • Sorry i meant metallica

  • Well I should hope so, because without that "a" on the end of the word you left us wondering just who were talking bout (the "a" in about intentionally ommited) see... doesnt feel too good does it... goofing of course...

  • :( harsh man, harsh

  • No No No harshness intended Just dry humor

  • I know, i'm playing ;)

  • Hehe I just got owned by my own!!

  • So am I, I thought he was just another average bass player of metallicas but hes actauly really good. (woah incoming fan boy attack.)It fucks me off when people say that cliff is the best bass player when hes clearly not, Rob is obviously better than him, and there are so many others who are better than rob, none the less he is bloody awesome.

  • Rob Trujillo is an master . Followin' him more then 11-12 year his S.T and I.G times was better for me . But he choosed to earn money and lead his way to Metallica . I respect his choice but Metallica's songs bass partitions are like childplay for him

  • The reason for that is because Metallica showed, just like in "...And Justice For All" that they take a hesitant approach with their bassists at first. Hell, even "Kill Em All" didn't have too much prominent bass in it, and that album was done with Cliff, who was their driving force in the early years. Just watch, though, the next album will probably have some sick Trujillo-laden tracks all over it. His bass will be everywhere come next album.

  • This song should have two mintues.

  • i have to say i don't like this band

    but i love this song

  • I'm trying really hard to enjoy this but....

  • try harder :p

  • I think it's their last great CD but I am predujiced

  • I checked it out, I like some of the songs on it but I have to say, this band is too repetitive. I am not a fan of Mike Muir's vocals either but I really like songs such as Boom Boom Boom and Why? but I hate songs like Frustrated Again and Do What I Tell Ya (If that's a RATM diss, that's really sad)Still not a bad band and there's definitely some talent there.

  • Is the rest of this album good?
