It could be it was set up that way. Remember in America what ever you do is always linked to you sexually(yes pathetic), things are changing nowdays, however America seems the sexuality first then the art.
OMG my most fave ppl in one interview- the PSB and jim carrey.... I dont know who is luckier, the PSB meeting jim carrey, or jim meeting the PSB....shame chris lowe wasnt in the interview....
Unprofessional. Still, he could have been having a bad day and this was just the last straw. Funny how everything continued without a glitch without him... lol.
Absolutely! Back then in 1991, Neil would HAVE to be extra patient and consequently he gave in more especially when Chris was having one of his moods. He HAD to, to keep the Tour going.
And I still believe the Performance Tour is the greatest one the Pet Shop Boys or any other artist ever did! :-D
Omg...I'm a fan of PSB, and I never knew this was on this show. What a shame, according to comments here, the cameramen only focused on Neil, not knowing Chris was part of the group. Still, Chris leaving was EXTREMELY unprofessional.
You know, Chris doesn't even *remember* this incident at all! I feel it is kind of sad, really -- this incident happened 17 years ago, and my understanding from Chris Heath's account in "PSB v. America," is that hours later (after this incident), Chris Lowe had totally 'dropped' the matter and was back to his happy-go-lucky attitude again! --and yet, here we are, 17 years later, still trying to figure out what the heck went wrong then.
What a disastrous exhibition...the dancers slipping on the floor at 2.17, Chris leaving in fury...Chris Heath's excellent "PSB vs.America" book also reports that during the recording Neil took Shelley Winters'glass of whisky thinking it was a glass of water for him °___°
I wonder why the cameras only focused on Neil and never went to Chris. If I were the producer, I'd want images of both, especially considering Chris wasn't in the back, but up front right next to Neil.
Well, I know that. That didn't answer my question, my question is why didn't the cameras focus on Chris too. Which is a very good question. Why the hell not?

Little fact:
The backing singer on the right is Pam Sheyne, who amongst other things, wrote "Genie In A Bottle" for Christina Aguilera.

Neil was such a good sport there, although I do feel bad for Chris: he did something rather impulsive, but I don't blame him.
