I can't remember exactly the cost but it was around $250. The bow shot well and flung a 500 grain arrow at about 185 fpsThe finger tab is the cordovan leather tab from a company called 3Rivers Archery.
@hkg3sg1 Its been hard to find the right materials for these ancient style bows, from sinew strings to cane or viburnum arrows..and the archery shops just sell compound bows, they know nothing about this stuff.
I have never had the opportunity to try a Centaur bow. I have shot many Martin bows, Bear, Pearson, Browning, and a couple custom maker bows and now I am making my own. This gives me a pretty good feel for the performance of each one relative to the others. Someday I would like to try a Centaur.
Centaur is also a custom bow, The maker is a friend of mine(I'm not trying to advertise)What kind of bows do you make, I have made one or two longbows but nothing special.
I make laminated long bows and my own wood arrows also. I mostly make reflex deflex designs with fancy wood laminations and overlays. Maybe someday when I retire I will make them for sale like your friend. Does Centaur sell on a website? I would like to look at some of thier work.
Of the bows I have made one is Osage with a bamboo backing and the other is white ash with a bamboo backing, nothing special but fun to make. My friend does have a website, if you search Centaur archery you should find it pretty easy. Have you posted any videos of your own bows yet?
Yes, he is a good friend of mine and hope to go hunting with him this year if time allows. I do have one of his bows and I love it, but if you plan on ordering one you may want to plan about a year ahead because alot of others archers seem to like his bows to. What kind of bow do you shoot now?
Thanks for the comment and good advice. I have now started making my own wood arrows and they are definetly longer. That video was from when I first started shooting traditional archery and I have learned much allong the way. This week I will even finish my first self made bow! Hopefully will post pics/vids of it soon. Thanks again.
That is a nice bow. The only thing i can add is you might want to think about longer arrows. If a brodhead comes past the shelf it will catch and throw the shot off.
not to be a mood kill, but your is a bit high when you about to shoot, your release is perfect, better than mine, but your draw arm should be alighned with bow arm
Thank you for the compliments! I actually traded for this bow last year from a fellow MI bowhunter. I have absolutely no complaints about this bow and it will continue to be my primary hunting bow.
I have the martin venom longbow its a great bow I enjoy it mines set a 50# and its 66" too awesome video

Impressive as very ..."indoors" shooting!
Maybe, you have to release without tension leaving more free your right hand, orn't?
Greetings!
