Atheists aren't specifically the ones responsible to "the war on christmas," it's the Politically Correct crowd, which come from all walks of faith or lack thereof; same group that is offended on behalf of mentally disabled children who are to mentally disabled to be offended for themselves, if you get what I'm saying. But it's nice to see that pastors can't handle being trolled in a dignified manor.
Government endorsement of a particular religion is a violation of the United States Constitution and a bad idea. If government can endorse Christianity as the official state religion, what legal constraint is there against state endorsement of a particular type of Christianity to the exclusion of others? By all means, provide religious displays on your own private property, but do not demand that government endorse your beliefs by providing space for your symbols.
@imaStonesFan I have to agree as this is beyond asinine. These athiests waste the taxpayers money with this joke of a lawsuit while making a mockery of the Constitution. What this country has been lacking over the years is common sense which will always trump the absurdity of political correctness.
@GSPatton89 I agree with you completely! Geee and all the way from Wisconsin? Seems to me they have no life,no job and to much time on their hands What do they do, just drive around the country looking for religious symbolism to whine and complain about about?
@imaStonesFan I gurantee if someone made a lawsuit against Darwinism being offensive the ACLU would make some kind of stupid excuse to avoid it. They'll defend Nazism or radical Islam, but nothing that will give Darwinsm a bad name.
@GSPatton89 Actually, they DON'T use taxpayer money; the use FFR funds from membership fees. They also uphold the constitution where the government would amend it.
However I do agree that all of this political correctness BS is getting out of hand; it's already ruined TV & people are suing left & right for the most trivial offences.
The speakers smugness and sarcasm highlights his personal sense of entitlement. That is the problem with these Dominionists they believe they are "entitled" to control this country againt the will of the rest of us.
