I know this is picky and missing the point, but ... isn't 什么 generally shen2me rather than shen2mo4? The more accurate the language (ground) the more wonderful the surrealism (figure)!

@costeni You have a good point that shen2me is more common. However, in spoken language, we'll say either "shen mo" "shen me", even "shen2 ma3"  Chinese has a lot of variance and I think it is good to include the language variance to better prepare the students for real world conversations. In this sense, it's a little advanced.
