The only reason the 'sons of Iraq' (former Sunni insurgents who are mostly ex-Iraqi army & Republican Guard) are not fighting the occupiers is because theyre being paid by the Yanks not to attack coalition forces. This is almost an admission of surrender by the invaders....and it means the insurgents can re-equip and re-train for the future, all thanks to American money. haha.

Thats not really true because the Iraqi officer class under Saddam was traditionally Sunni and these are the guys who pose the greatest problem to the Americans. If the Shia and Kurds try and take on the Sunni in direct confrontation, they will lose because they are in general lacking in military training and organisation compared to the Sunni nationalist forces. The Shia have advantage of numbers but nothing else really. The puppet regime & their 'army' are a complete joke militarily.
