I just bought a new 2008 Focus and as per the rust comments I chose to get the ionized rust prevention that they offer for about $810 Canadian, this will come in handy when I want to sell the car down the road. After searching through every other type of car in this class I found the Focus was by far the best deal out there for what you get for your money.

All these fights about which is better, Mk2 Euro version or this one; good grief. I guess Ford decided to do a restyle of the current Focus for the US/Canadian markets due to cost however when the Mk3 Euro version comes out we will get that as well. This one actually isn't bad, it is getting good reviews, it is affordable and great on gas. Interesting about the integrated stereo though, for a car targeting young drivers who would want to change out the stereo but cant.

I test drove the Focus last Sunday it was responsive ,handled really well and the SYNC feature is nice. With gas hitting $4.29 a gallon and the price tag for a new Focus coming in at just under 16K. I am definitely thinking about buying one.

The Focus will be built in Michigan, not Mexican, as the loser trying to promote Toyota has posted. The Japanese cars ASSEMBLED in the USA are still under Japanese control and ownership. So, when you buy a Toyota or Honda, you may be providing a thousand assembly jobs, but you're giving long-term control and directive to a foreign company instead of supporting your own people here in America. Solidarity with American companies; the US companies carry more overhead: even the playing field.
