  • me carga esa wea de ese juego que siempre sale no me deja escuchar los videos

  • A true rock song, the words sing truer than ever.

  • my two favourite artists of all time! It's a dream come true! Top stuff!

  • playback

  • This is in my opinion the first punk song. So many protest songs of that time had to conceal their meanings with metaphors, this is straight to the fucking point. It gives me chills every time I hear it.

  • Conservatives would call this song "class warfare." Screw them!

  • @zephranna01 coco coco coco coco

  • Actually....Bruce has had Ernest Boom Carter,Mad Dog Vini Lopez.....who is the drummer on Born To Run...and the Mighty Max Weinberg.....in the E Street Band. Also Max's son has sat in with Bruce a few times.......If you are going to comment...Get your facts straight.

  • Comment removed

  • @zephranna01 Max Weinberg, original member of the E Street clear back to the '70s.

  • @naughtmoses Max Weinberg is not the original member of the E Street band there was someone else before him vini lopez or something like that, max joined during the born to run album

  • @Rocky54167 Thx; didn't know there had a been a "Pete Best" in there.

  • Bruce no offense but you might want to keep your mouth shut on this one and let the man sing.

  • @zephranna01 That was and still is Bruce's drummer!

  • this gives me chills

  • hey its max weinberg 0:32

  • @leachim04 "You wouldn't speak like that to my face."

I most certainly would, you ignorant ass.

  • the boss should borrow a page from mick and put the guitar down...he's going to hurt himself

  • Bruce always strummed so far down the guitar

  • [Note for "bapyou"]. Bruce, I am surprised that, as a scientist and educator, you chose to take offense at leachim04's cogently argued points. Both of you seem opposed to abuse and violence, but I found your own approach offensive and violent. However much you disagree with his opinions, he is deserving of respect because he too abhors abuses of power meted out against defenseless people. That's what the two of you have in common and I am surprised you didn't see that.

    Best,

    Patrick.

  • @pdebee "Both of you seem opposed to abuse and violence"

No, the other fool is spreading hatred toward Muslims, the only information about which he obtains from secondary sources, television, etc. I know many Muslims. My ex-wife was Muslim. Every Muslim I know thinks that extremist Islamists are idiots, and detest those commiting acts of violence in the name of their religion.

So don't give me any bullshit. This kid leach simply repeats fear-mongering points he's absorbed from the media.

  • @bapyou Bruce, I am very pleased for you that you live in the USA, where you have the freedom to express yourself in any way you can, however offensively. Maybe one day you will look into your own heart and wonder where all that anger and hatred comes from. I wish you all the best in your efforts to become a man of equanimity, if not kindness.

    Best,

    Patrick.

  • @pdebee "Maybe one day you will look into your own heart and wonder where all that anger and hatred comes from."

Maybe one day you'll get a clue. Here:

"Hope had two beautiful daughters: Anger and Courage. Anger at the way things are, and Courage to change them." -- Saint Augustine

"People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

"He or she who is not angry when there is just cause for anger sins." - St. Thomas Aquinas

  • @leachim04 "It's pointless because you ignore the points."

What fucking points, you numbskull? "Islam is evil." "They're out to take over western civilization!"

I've heard it all before. It's broadcast 1000s of times a day around the world by the corporate-controlled media. I've even read some of the stupid posts on the website from which you clipped your particular talking points (about Geert Wilders, etc). It's inane dopey scare tactics.

How many Muslims do you know personally?

  • @leachim04 Set aside the grammar, about which you are wrong.

"Your reply is unfortunately typical of those who are unable to engage in a sensible debate ... seek to discredit the opposition & avoid key points of argument."

You have no points. You repeat idiotic information you clip and paste from web sites. That's all you do. And for the fourth time: How many Muslims do you know personally? Give me a number.

I can quote numerous Bible passages just as violent as anything in the Koran.

  • @leachim04 "no error your use of '(sic)' " You referred to a list: "this" should have been "these;" plural not singular.

And do you get all of your information from jihadwatch (dot) org? Is this your only source of ideas? Websites? Do you never get away from your computer and experience life firsthand? What is your problem, you stupid propagandized American?

Answer my question or suck the cock of Dick Cheney: How many Muslims do you personally know? Give me a number.

  • @leachim04 "This (sic) can fairly be applied to Islam."

No. Yours is a false statement. A more correct statement would be "this can fairly be applied to a small minority of Muslims, not Islam."

And one of the list ("Religion & ruling elite tied together") can be applied to two American allies in the Middle-East: Saudi Arabia and Israel.

Answer my question: How many Muslims do you personally know? Give me a number.

  • @leachim04 "I'm making a legitimate point that time will prove."

Its "legitimacy" is in your mind. There is no time required to prove this.

War is Peace ... is the policy that George The Idiot Bush wrought on the peoples of Iraq and Afghanistan. Obama continues this policy. Only a psychopath would claim that they are bringing peace to a nation as they rain bombs down upon them.

How many Muslims do you know personally? Give me a number.

  • @leachim04 "Unless of course you find yourself coming against the totalitarian death cult of Islam."

Unless of course you were once married to a Muslim & realize phrases such as "the totalitarian death cult of Islam" is a complete fiction designed to frighten you into supporting the wars of the American ruling class.

    Remember: War is Peace.

Pull down your pants, bend over, spread your cheeks. The ruling class wants you.

And, whatever you do, do not read about 1930s labor history.

  • Playback much O.ò

  • "Patriotism is nothing more than the organized interests of the ruling class." ~ Mikhail Bakunin

  • THE working class anthem for all of rock. Every guy today contemplating going off to war should be forced to sit and listen to this song ... with a lyric sheet in hand.

This song was not written for Dick Cheney, George Bush, or anyone like them who attended an Old Money New England Prep School and went off to Harvard or Yale merely because their daddy and mommy went to Harvard or Yale.

"Patriotism is nothing more than the organized interests of the ruling class." ~ Mikhail Bakunin

  • @bapyou Your right. It was not written *for* the Wealthy Elite. It was written *about* them.

    Some folks are born

    silver spoon in hand,

    Lord don't they help themselves.

But when the tax man comes to the door,

Lord, the house looks like a rummage sale.

It's still true. The Rs refused to consider *any* bill, including, one extending unemployment benefits; a critical arms control treaty; etc. Until the wealthy had the Bush tax cuts extended, & inheritance tax excemptions raised to $10,000,000.

  • Oh man, Fogerty and Springsteen on stage together. YEA BOY!!!!!!!!

  • what a legend

  • Max was Conan's House Band leader when Bruce wasn't on the road, Max had a release that allowed him to leave Conan's show to hit the road with Bruce and the E. St Band when he wanted to. I didn't watch Conan much but saw his show when he introducde the Drummer who was taking Max's place and explained that Max was on the Road with Bruce and even gave some of the Concert Dates. Max looks stiff as King Kong's Johnson when he plays. but he is the Metering Master, he is so rock solid it's amazing...

  • max FTW!!!! my favorite drummer!

  • God this would have been AMAZING to see live! John Fogerty AND Bruce Springsteen!! And its my favorite CCR song too!

  • Love the way Bruce looks at him.. He is like, "Fuckin A" John!!

  • bruce springsteen, hace 50 anios en el rock y nunca aprendio a tocar la guitarra, un fenomeno. encima toco con todos los grandes. el rock es generoso.

  • ccr is one of my favorite bands and im 15

  • man, this whole show was epic

  • is that the same drummer that plays on letterman or jay leno or whatever it wuz maybe conan ? one of these atleast.

  • @ChainsmokingPothead ,,,Yup, Max Weinberg was Conan's drummer.

  • this is an awesome performance

  • I had a guitar just like Fogerty's. Shouldn't have sold that.

  • Fogerty's aged better than Springsteen.....

  • I am not talking smack, just asking - Why are the words out of sync?

  • @KMHRocker bad mixing

  • Damn look who's still got it HE GETS BETTER WITH AGE

  • One of the best rock songs... EVER! And it will remain meaningful, sadly...

"Forward!" He cried. And the front rank died...

  • the truth and nothing but the truth.

  • John is badass. :D

  • fuck yeah max weinberg!

  • Max was cooking on this one!

  • Just as powerful as it was in 1970, and as relevant. This is as effective an anti-war song as anything Dylan ever did, and that's going some. Fogerty is amazing. And the E Street band takes care of business, big time.

  • Holy shit, nobody else seems to notice who's drumming! It's Max Weinberg of the Max Weinberg 7! lol

  • @Igamikun

Max has been a member of the E Street Band since 1975 when they did Born To Run.

  • @Igamikun ahah ignorant xD

  • fuck you are da man john fogerty love you to bits why don't they write songs like you

  • watch my version ;) HQ ! 720p

  • beautiful lyrics....listen and understand those words!

  • fogerty is a badass!

  • Damn fine version.

  • lol....yeah he's probably jealous because of Fogerty's awesome voice!

  • why is bruce springsteen green at 2:03 ?

  • Somebody shut bruce up. Fogerty sounds so much better. Bruce just throws a bad monkey wrench into the song

  • this is probably the coolest thing ive ever seen

  • This guy still rocks, this is one of my all time favorite tunes.

  • Max is awesome on this... But too bad Fogerty plays 'clams' during the guitar bridge. Ouch.

  • The vote for change concert was awesome evenif it was political. REM also played at the shows. Was unreal when John and Bruce shared the stage

  • you're an idiot, this song was written ages ago. and now that they have money they're not allowed to sing it?

  • the 2 of the the top 3 best in music's history together on stage, performing what possibly is the best song ever, all we need now, is elvis back!

  • Faire27:

    They are INDEED fortunate sons.

They rode on the backs of those who preserved the freedom to get ahead by giving their lives. Too bad we still live in the dark ages in that regard, but that's been the price paid for their freedom to rise to this level in this society.

    Best.

  • John Fogerty was in the military. I'm in the service and u should know what ur talking about before u type

  • I don't think anyone with sense would disagree that anyone's ability to express themselves is directly related to our freedoms in this country...protected by our military, even if there's a disagreement as to where or why.

  • Theyre speaking for a generation...

i doubt jay z really has 99 problems either...

  • forgerty cant wipe bruce's ass, have a clue.... bruce still plays in front of 150,000 people

  • who's forgerty? lol......they're both great, but i'd say bruce has had a more consistent career, though they've both disappeared for years at a time.

  • He's the guy that first performed the song. x.x Lead Singer of CCR?

  • Bruce has the loyal jersey following but, Fogerty outclasses him for memorable songs and quality

  • @Gyro911 i dunno... I'd say they are equal

  • @Gyro911 I'm an enormous Fogerty fan, as is Bruce.

But Bruce's following is worldwide. In the 10 years between mid 99 & late 09, he sold over 600, 20,000 +/- seat indoor arenas, and 81 stadiums. He performed all over North America, Australia, N.Z., & in every W. European country (source: type, "Greasylake," into google.)

He was seen by 15 mill, grossed $1.2 bill, 25 years after his popularity peaked in 85. Granted, popularity and quality are not the same thing.

    However, he is great.

  • @CPSJSMSUUMUGA You make some factuall points there but, Fogerty and CCR have made more memorable american standard songs that still continue to influence pop culture. ALso Forgetty doesnt market himself as vigorously as Springsteen does. In my opinion John is more talented and has a better body of work. Bruce beats him on quantity but not quality

  • @Gyro911 No, but thanks for sharing.

  • @KOSMICKEN09

Who's Fogerty? John Fogerty was the leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival, a band who 1969 sold more than the Beatles... Proud Mary, Bad Moon Rising, Green River.....

  • DUDE i was pointing out the misspelling of his name, I know who Fogerty is...someone had spelled it forgerty

  • Some folsk are born maaaaade to wave the flag !

    hooh theyre red,white and blue....x3

  • Bruce is absolutely amazing, but he is still not in the same league as fogerty

  • First time i saw Fogerty, four years ago at Jones Beach NY. I'd had major surgery, was sure i'd leave before the show over. UH UH. I never sat down and surgery or not, could not keep from dancing. Helped cure what ailed me. :)

  • two of the biggest bad azz"z in rock and roll on the same stage !!

  • wow - awesome version of an awesome song

  • zwei tolle Musiker!!

  • Most bands bring the key down as they get older but this guy is still singing in the original key with energy plus......fantastic!

  • Yeah, in fact one of best and more endurable voices of rock, almost nobody in the rock scene could last with such a high frecuence

  • @DonnyDooley good point he still has it all great musician, vocalist, performer& he writes the baddest tunes!!

  • @DonnyDooley yeah but they sped it up to sound better like most reunion groups or older groups unfortunately have to do

  • @DonnyDooley Not only that, but it seems his voice has gotten clearer with age... double fantastic! (all the way across the sky.)

  • Where can I buy the dvd of the four songs Bruce and John did on Vote for change tour? (Proud Mary, Bad Moon Rising, Travellnig Band, Fortunate Son)

  • isn't that the drummer from Conan o brien xD?

  • what year was this? That old fart still got a lot of spark.

  • head shake

  • They played seven shows together on the Vote for Change tour organized by Springsteen, in early October, 2004.

  • Great
