  • Upon discovering this, I shared it with many who appreciated it the same. The song is a beautiful feat on it's own, but is an entirely new experience when combined with this visual.

  • Why did YouTube even bother including the dislike option here?

  • something deep and brooding

  • I first heard this song when blasted away with some good kush. I was then destroyed with pure awesomness.

    very lovely......i like it

  • the lovely song that i like hard ...reflaction...what a rythme...speciall

  • To those who find this video tragic or scary, i found this comment in the old version of this video from BLIXA: "I get it. The ego = the pumpkin head. The crow = our natural self, pre-conditioning The Frankenstein scene, the ego/pumpkinhead running from the pressures of society/ townsfolk The ivory tower metaphor, windmill Fire and revolution as catalyst for change The purple crow, aspect of higher, shape shifting self wow" hope this casts it into a new light. crucify the ego.
  • @TheNibelunge that might be true. What i felt when i saw this video, was that the scarecrow was different, & generally, people who are so different, from ourselves, gets looked at, as if scary & evil, yet the scarecrow only wanted a friend, and because he was different, no friends where made but only enemies, and the crow changing color of guilt, because he knew the scarecrow better, yet did nothing to stop the outcome, so the scarecrow dies as if evil, yet all he was is different

  • @Cidaine yeh i agree with you on that.. and the ending is maybe is a metahphor of the pumpkins fear of other peoplesor(mass society's) impression of him and his differences, to which drove him to isolation and in the end, death. the crows are maybe there for effect of the death of ones soul, with a hint of sorrow. definitely a powerful song and video.. and most certainly reaches all those 'weirdos' out there.. but i think what makes people beautiful is not in their similarities, but differences.

  • @TheNibelunge Perhaps BLIXA could better explain their idea, but if the ego were to be let go doesn't that imply a higher goal - especially, by releasing the ego and transcending into something more beautiful. However, in this case the ego was burned against its will. I did not observe any catalysts for change, rather ignorance and destruction from the "windmill Fire" image.

Although, BLIXA seems to be on the right track by focusing on the imagery more than just interpreting the story.

  • @wendufeng While I cannot speak for BLIXA,the lyric is not to "let go" of, or "releasing the ego" it's crucify; to fasten to a cross. The arms of a windmill form a cross.

Turn the arms of the windmill, set it ablaze & you have a visual representation of the burning wheel of cosmic center. The fire is the catalyst or katalysis "a dissolving" for change or transmutation. I'm not speaking of the video, but the synergy of it w/ the song. I can't explain it all in 300 chars. Far too deep.

  • @TheNibelunge I agree that the windmill image on fire suggests strong imagery of crucifying, but ideas such as transmutation seem ambiguous. It is interesting relating these cosmic centers to the human's potential of higher spirituality, but, from the standpoint of practicality, it serves no other purpose than metaphysics. Therefore, to avoid misunderstanding I used a Buddhist concept of "letting go" of our ego, which is practicing actual "crucifying" through practical means.

  • My view is that the scarecrow doesn't want his own identity, his very purpose pains him. For me that is analogous with being a thinking human, all the things that make us human I find difficult at times, because I want answers. So I see the scarecrows death as a good thing, he gets to escape the ignorant shits that murder him and become united with nature once more. The fact he couldn't be with the crows as a scarecrow was part of his identity, with death he reached a Platonic viture.

  • @hhouse1234 I think it correlates the inability to understand or accept differences between humans and animals. The same fear, but the different ways nature deals with it, it coincides with the "crucify the ego" lyric. We, as humans, believe we are so much better than animals, and in some ways we are, but at the same time, it's exactly what we are.

  • @machineunit What we believe makes us superior to animals could arguably be the same thing that makes us inferior. We know too much for our own good. Our self awareness is ugly at times and counter-productive. We are no more beautiful than the scarecrow or the crows.

  • @machineunit
