  • chills, chills, chills. I absolutely adore the sound of cellos, more than violins's

  • Is there anything Mozart couldn't do? I think Mozart is perhaps the greatest composer of all time because unlike some of the other great composers, such as Beethoven and Schubert, he produced masterpieces of the first rank in almost every genre. Beethoven, for instance, more or less failed in opera (Fidelio is a fine piece, but as Wagner pointed out, its a cold work) and perhaps even in sacred music. Schubert wrote some dire operas. Mozart could do everything.

  • not a smiley lot here, to be sure ; cool perfromance though

  • Ut mineur, pas Ré mineur, Merci ! :-)

  • Here I'm wondering two things:

    1. Why is the title of this video (in D minor) when the piece is in C minor?

    2. Why are they playing in A415? The period standard for Mozart's music is generally A430.

  • @Gilgamesh827 I'm not sure about the title but I am fairly certain this was not the only piece in this performance. Chances are the tuning was appropriate for the other pieces they played.

  • @Gilgamesh827 Modern interpretation n00bs...

  • don't worry about copyright, it damages society. Bach, Mozart, Vivaldi etc...did just fine without it

  • @rojasrod well, I think that Wolfie would have liked some royalties, especially in the later years...

  • @skellez83 sure, people love to be given money, but if you want to be well in your later years, you save

  • @punchaloo "do minore" means C minor [like ut mineur]. If you type K546 in google, you'll see that in every edition it's in c minor.

  • this is so weird.... i have the music, but it's a half note up..... and it says in "do" minore.

im expecting that is d minor.

  • @punchaloo Baroque tuning makes it sound a half step lower

  • It's in C minor. (ut mineur means C minor)

  • @minikoalavadasz so there's 2 editions of this music. pretty cool! I must say I like this key a little better, it gives a mellow feeling that can't be accomplished by the other key
