hahahaha, thats silly!! I didnt know you even could mod these things!! sounds like a dying bug... thats a nice house man!! cant you just buy an Axial?? Well good job anyways, it does work LOT better than stock!
I honestly spent way too much time on this for what it is. But, it was a learning process and I enjoyted the challenge. I really didn't innnovate that much, I just used what I saw others doing and sort of combined all the best of the best.
I found some springs at my local hardware store that were much softer, and simply replaced the stock springs. It was very cheap and worked much better immediately with little tuning.
no matter how much time or how many mods you do to these things they end up scrapp . they are toys dissposable . . as texx to post big crawler a new video bet he carnt its scrapp
"Flapding" was a login on a web forum dedicated to the NewBright vehicles - they were some of the first cheap, simple but capable ccrawlers to come out for less than $100 - and so had a cult following for a short time.
Tires are MOabs, ProLine i think. It's been so long and that was such a fleeting project that I can't remember the motors, but I do remember getting them from Jameco Electronics.
k hey hilslamer can u help me i have one of these i want mine just like urs mine is boneeeee stock how can i get the shock coils an like how do i install them an like any other help or suggestions ? please help im new at this
Ace Hardware - they were acutlaly a tightly wound spring and a stretched the coils out to fit the stock guides/towers - crude but it made for nice soft sprigns that ook a nice set.
Sag is at about 60% of vertical wheel travel - not so good for ground clearance but twists and settles nice, with lower CG for less propensity to rollover. Taking the body off makes it handle infinitely better too, but then it's just not a jeep to me...
In the realm of R/C rockcralers, it's definitely considered a "toy" crawler, although it does surprisingly well for what it is and what I have into it...
yes! yours have same desine but have not the performance of beadblock or type nylint. i say so because you can see that your tires don't crack, don't wrink like or your crawler is light or tires are heavy and i see not so high. look for wheel of your dimension more soft your problem is that is like if you have a 20" tyre with 22" wheel you need a 16" tyre...good my italian explain :))
the less expensive are the nylint. the beadblock are expensive...look for exagonl!! and try.
they allways make the gears to stiff

How do you make the shocks like yours? I have the same kind of Jeep, only the shocks are very stiff.

You need to learn to type in complete sentences, and perhaps use punctuation so that I can understand what you're trying to ask me.
hilslamer 2 years ago
its what gear did you use or did you make a forum
driftingallnightlong 2 years ago
That's the crawl ratio, after gear modifications, yes. No Forum.
