I've researched this, and the FDA DOES NOT APPROVE ASTAXANTHIN FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION! Only approved for animal consumption! This is on an FDA.GOV website! this is 2011.
@1stsmosh Sorry you are dead wrong on this one. If that were true astaxanthin would not be available for sale in nearly every health food store. What your faulty "research" found is synthetic astaxathin is not approved. Natural astaxanthin is approved and what i recommend. One should definitely avoid the synthetic.
@mercola Thnx for responding sir...I'll send u the FDA.GOV ruling web site, where the FDA states that Astaxanthin is for animals only. At no point or place has the FDA ruled safe for humans.
Thank you Dr. Mercola for your informative video. However, I live in the tropics and all of the fruits you mentioned (i.e., blackcurrants, huckleberries) are not available here. I would appreciate it if you can make a video informing us what TROPICAL fruits are good for the eyes. Thanks!
I had a hemmorage in my right eye back at the end of January. I had lazer surgery but some of the blood is still in my eye 9 months later. Will it go away or is that blood here to stay? My doctor wouldn't say much other than it will take a while to clear up. No ide how long I can expect this to take so I am curious!
Excellent video! Do you suggest this product for a person that has Sjorgren's syndrome? Sounds like it could help.
