I remember that I got this game and set it on very easy, my relatiuves came over and while they were talking, they watched me play. so I would be thrashing the joystick around and swinging the controler all over the place while buttioning mashing, so it looked like the game was really hard and I was kicking ass. they were talking for a while, then just stopped and stared. the look on there faces when I went downstairs to get something to drink while playing the game AT THE SAME TIME... priceless

on this auto mode as far as i observed the main character is totally invulnebrale to attacks, she auto dodge all shits and stuff... almost like on good mode enabled lol... I can only see 1 use for this mode -it can come in handy when it comes to some invalids/injured people, it can help them play again this i admit.

You have to remember some people brains don't react as fast as others. What maybe a mole hill to you or me, could be a mountain to someone else. We could play on hardest mode and might only get hit once or twice per stage. Someone else could play on easy and get hit 20 times with in the first minute of the game.

Devil May Cry 4 is actually quite hard, but easy to get into. Albeit this, not everyone can beat all the modes, but playing the easy ones will make you want to play more, no? The designers of bayonetta decided to add the Automatic mode instead of making the overall game easier. Its really on there for the crybaby gamers that dont want to take the time to actually learn how to do all the combos in the game. Its kind of funny when you think about. Since in this mode the game will automatically pull off basic combos they wont be able to do the more complex combos later on in the game. XD

im impressed how much criticism this gets, it's just a game mode (easy, normal, hard, etc.), this alone does not make the entirety of the game

there are many people who have a difficult time with games, just because something is common with you it does not mean it is for everyone, so just because action games is easy for you, dont apply that to everyone, altho i believe this one-hand mode was intended so you could use your other hand for other activities as it is hinted in the developer's blog
