how is it having a baby in water? i have had 3 in the hospital i ben thinking about having a water birth at home im 6 months along think it be relaxing
That was beautiful. I have three children & plan on having more. I thought about home births with the others but didn't do it. I will do it with the next!
Women just remember we are not all the same what may be easy for this woman may not be so for you...get medical advice befor you decide to give birth at home....For some women having a baby isnt that easy... Ive had 3 babies my first 2 were not easy births, my 3rd was & we call he lucky last....But i would not consider home birth even so.....Lovely family though...congrats....
Seems like a beautiful way to start a new life....so calming and relaxed with family around....Great Kudos for U! You have inspired me to think about natural and home birth with my next child!
Whoa, is that a cattle trough!? I didn't even think of that- that's perrrfect! (No sarcasm here- hated using the kiddie pool and abandoned it. Watering troughs like some have on their farms would be perfect- nice and deep, nice and spacious.. gotta get one!)
beautiful.... i was born at home after a previous c-section my mother had, which was not very common at that time. i would love to have a home birth; my two daughters were born in the hospital... wonderful experience, but the calm comforts of home beat the hospital any day.
Shows what birth is supposed to be like .. thanks for sharing. I am glad to see the child playing with the bulb syringe instead of use on baby. Love the images of daddy and babies. Watch trailer for "The Other Side of the Glass: A Birth Film for Fathers".
the first song is from the prince of egypt idk the name of the song exactly but i know its amy grant i think its something like lullaby of the river great song great movie and thnks for sharing this with everyone tkdtoad
i believe that this song is from that movie prince of egypt... the movie about moses and this is the part that the mother sends moses down the river...
Wow, this is really great. No bright lights, no "coming into the world shock" for the baby, no unnecessary poking and prodding. You gave your daughter a really cool start into life! Congrats.
Perfect that someone with "kill" in their id name hates life. You must put off some nasty negative energy where ever you go. No wonder the world is "shitty" to you.
Then having so many children, and hopefully training them up in the ways of the Lord, and loving them and spending time with them and providing for them, helps to make the world over time, a much better place.
I have long advocated the natural flow of human life unhindered by nasty, awkward, side-effect-ridden, anti-family "birth control." Rather than taking "precautions" against possible human life, wouldn't our children prefer that we let our babies just push out naturally?
there are many medical reasons which taking birth control makes infinitely more bearable. my menstrual cramps were horrid, and on the pill,i barely notice them. i can get back to work and am not bed-ridden for 12 weeks per year with nasty period cramps.
We are preparing for our 5th home birth (6 in total) in Sept of this year, and I believe that the experience has empowered me as a woman & as a mother in so many ways. Well done to your midwife for encouraging you & your family to embrace birthing the way that our bodies intended, the way that women embraced birthing for thousands of years...
No, nothing amazing about it. We have so much fun. The big kids help take care of the little kids. The little kids entertain (and torment) the big kids. They each are interested in different things so life is full of variation and color. We all live on my modest income, but my wife and I feel rich.
it's from prince of egypt it's called deliver us. It's supposed to be when she puts moses in the river. Thats the answer if your talking about the first song.
Your wife must be a wonderful resource on birth, having experienced mutliple hospital-deliveries and multiple homebirths. It would be wonderful to hear some of what she's learned about birth, herself and motherhood. :D Thank you for posting! :D
It was one of the most wonderful experiences we have ever had. We had four in the hospital, but after this experience, we had the rest (three more) at home.
Yes, it is very noisy around the house, but usually a happy noise. We had the first four in the hospital. Then my wife talked me into trying a homebirth. After I interviewed the midwife I agreed. It was such a wonderful experience for us that we had the rest at home.
Thanks for posting your wonderful empowered birthed birth story tkdtoad. My hope is that one day majority of women will understand the safety of homebirth.
This is beautiful!

why do people do homebirth instead of hospital birth????
webkinzlover3650 3 years ago
in the netherlands it's quite common. 1/3 of all births are at home there.
We in belgium (the neighbours) are completly different, a lot of belgiums even don't know about the possibility.
So close to eachother and still such a big difference. I surely hope I can have a homebirth... but first: getting pregnant ;) .
