@analfabet123456789 Linus sed in the video that this PC is for Video Editing, and the important things in Video Editing is the RAM and the CPU you dont need that good of a video card.Just a good enough one so that it doesnt bottlenek the CPU.
I solved the CPU heat management issues I had one summer in two ways. First, I took of the side panel, and when the CPU was doing video encoding, I would use a paddle to manually cool it for the hour or so it took to finish the task. Then I got a room fan, put it on the desk, pointed it at the case and never had heating problems again. No money was spent, no components were touched. That's real oldschool CPU heat management.
i was wondering, i have a hx650 power supply and i had to mount it in the bottom of my case and i dont have a fan filter on the bottom so i have the power suplys fan on the inside of my pc, is that going to be bad for it as far as it being able to stay cool and clean ?
Use flour and vegy oil for thermal paste replacement, awesome homebrew to keep the cpu cool on stock fan under extreme gaming or for whatever, you'll never hear the fan even kick up to higher rpm's, also works great with gpu heatsink(s). Couple of us gamergeeks were testing out and mixing products, and this by far is the best we seen, even with higher volts and clocking then stock. Highs hit 45 degrees max on cpu under major load and gpus hit 50 max with stock fan settings.
@MegaSnorken perhaps his room has no static. Our house doesn't. I do realise that even if you don't feel a static shock you can still damage the hardware; but that hasn't happened in this house... ever... since we bought it 20 years ago :P
PLAZ HELP SOMEONE!!!!! my amd phenom ii x4 970 is running at 44-50 degrees at idle!!! is this normal? cus i have a corsair h40 cooler and 2 coolermaster sickleflows at full speed
@gundam395 re-do thermal paste, i had the h50 on a q6600 and then a i3, idled at about 40c. I have since switched to the noctua nh-d14 and it dominates. i now idle on the hottest core 28c and when at max load no higher then 45c.
and ppl say intels never overheat i have an amd athlon 2 x3 450 rana and even while watching online tv, youtube and playing warcraft sitting in orgrimmar i still hit less than 50 degress.
So, I'm running a MineCraft server on a Athlon 64 X2 2.4 GHz with 4 gigs of ram in a diablotek elite case. I've never got over 61C even at the processors 100% maxed out. good airflow or processor is undeclocked?
@xAxisTechOFFICIAL I have an old pentium D945 on a intel d945gtp board....I got 75 C as maximum under full stress....and 55-58 on idle.......is it problem to deal with or ..can i ignore this difference?????
I am having a really bad time choosing my future CPU, which I am actually buying the next 2 weeks. The problem is I can't figure out if an Intel i7 2xxx works better than other i5 or i7 series on a P67 motherboard, the one that does not support the integrated graphics. Is it worth giving those money for 2xxx or I could get same or even better processing power from i7 8xx or 9xx let's say.
Forgot to mention that I am in favor of purchasing a separate graphics card and not using the Sandy Bridge integrated one. So this is basically the reason I am getting the P67.
100° CELSIUS? Seriously? I didn't know any CPU at all would be able to sustain those temps and still run, underclocked or not. My Phenom II X$ 975 doesn't even run with >62°C or it will perish in no time. I know the i7 architecture is as different as it is superior but that's impressive.
@LordJummy Actually, he's right. That cooler in the vid blows down (TOWARDS THE CPU?!) and messes with the general aiirflow of the case. A Hyper 212 will drop this build (in the video) around 10-15 degrees just by blowing the air into a more suitable location (like the top fan or the upper rear fan to be exhausted)
I have the illusion version of that case with a case fan installed on the side blowing air onto my radeon 6870, it only reaches tepms of about 40c but the air out of the top fan feels much warmer than room temp, however the air out the rear fan does not. @igrowweedfromaseed Have you ever cleaned the fan? Also you may need to make sure your notebook is getting enough air so as not to suffocate it or block any air exits. You also might consider a purchasing a cooling pad.
