It's really too bad Syd Barrett didn't stay with Pink Floyd. He started Pink Floyd with Roger Waters, but couldn't get his ass together mentally enough to stay with the band. Awesome music he could've made had he stayed with the band.

I agree with you 100% Tom. Pink Floyd with Sid was well ahead of the beatles durnig this time of change in music. And they could not of found anyone better then David Gilmore to take his place. R.I.P. Syd
delboy1978uk: Being the purist I am, 'd have to say I was a skeptic when I first heard of them myself.. Still, after having seen them once, I was hooked. I've now seen them 5 times and make it a point to go every year. I never feel let down by their performances, unlike some other tributes. They really do a fantastic job of reviving the Pink Floyd live experience.
I play guitar and have seen Pink Floyd live from the front row a few times and met the band back stage. I saw Australian Pink Floyd 11-18-05 at the Wilshire Theatre from the front row, they were GREAT! Go see them if you get the chance. R.I.P. Syd.
Is this Voivod??! Sure sounds like 'em....

this is one of the greatest songs ever written, you cannot possibly imagine how dramatic it was at the time, there was nothing like it before
