  • TOOL is like DAVID LYNCH films you listen to the music, see the films and you sure understand something, but you don't know if that is what the wanted to say.

You come closer to the real meaning by listening and watching over and over again...

or...AT LEAST THAT IS FOR ME...!!!

  • but as far as Iam conserned it is just a tool so it shall not even be mentioned, if it fullfills its purpose it the most it can achieve

  • the only pert shall be mentioned, couse all the other parts reflects on the reciever, is the part at 7:15

  • It's probably better not to understand the song and try not to figure it out.

  • my first comment is hyper-contradictory in every sense,,but,,,,,it makes sense in a TOOL way

  • yeah! TOOL is deeper than the concious mainframe, it takes someone only with complete subconcious control and awareness to be able to grasp the beauty of this song,,,,,

  • I think, for me, it represents a new level between concious and subconcious,:

something deeper even, as far as the subconcious can go,

    without experiencing limbo.

Mayebe even,, I know now TOOL is in Limbo but just in constant Lucid Format,Tool is the Film INCEPTION on steroids!

  • I never want this song to end.

  • BEST 13 MINUTES OF MY LIFE.

  • this song goes so deep, i love how u cant take tool lyrics at face value, they make u think unlike the talentless pop n rap industry

  • love the bill hicks opening

  • Maynard's vocals are hypnotic.

  • huh, it seems no one dislikes tool lol

  • the idiots who disliked this are fucking imbecilic stupid ... oh, wait, nevermind :D

  • 7:12 Speaks to Me.

    Favorite Song.

Not that anyone cares, except for a handful of people looking up this song.

But, TOOL is... Amazing. for a lack of a better word. xD

Different Level of thought and perspective. just what i Crave and we all need.

  • BILL

  • i love you, TOOL.

  • anyone think Maynard has actually met with aliens??? He talks about it in multiple songs.. very interesting.

    Dreaming of that face again.

It's bright and blue and shimmering.

    Grinning wide

And comforting me with it's three warm and wild eyes.

  • @Maxmc7 Hes not talking about aliens, lol hes talking about how drugs open your third eye, sort of..

  • @MrLegalizeweed If you check out the band members on wikipedia, read their biographies, it sort of makes se

    fuck

    yes

  • What do you guys think Bill would have thought of this effort? Should someone have the time I'd love an answer, thanks in advance. Unbelievable piece of art. Thanks for sharing.

  • @Obscureflection I think they did it out of mad respect for Bill Hicks. They understand his message and thought that it should be spread. Bill Hicks says he met with extra terrestrials while tripping on Mushrooms once and this is what they told him. We are one. Theres no such thing as death. Check out the new Bill Hicks doc his buddies that were there tell the story. This type of philosophy is obviously an influence on the band.

  • @Obscureflection I think Bill would appreciate this. Tool and Bill were friends and i read a few different places that Tool is very heavily influnenced by Bill Hicks...as if thats not totally obvious anyway... and that they both have similar perspectives on things. To me tool is a musical form of Bill Hicks and his material.

  • True, but Bill Hicks was very anti-mainstream. He was anti-mainstream for the sake of it. And he'd be a fucking asshole about it, I can tell you. I don't think he would have appreciated how much Tool franchised themselves and sold-out to MANY pseudo-spiritual idiots who don't REALLY get Tool's message and let marketing turn what could have been great art into bile in a way. Bill Hicks was proof you don't fucking need 15 million dollars to yourself for your craft annually, sorry Jon Stewart. XD

  • <3

  • I don't need to use any drug. THIS is my drug.

  • @2Alex1848 That's what you think now... Haha.

And it's never a need. For me, atleast.

  • @2Alex1848 The right drug or source is never an altered state of mind, it's an enhanced state of mind. Think of it as looking through a dirty window you can't wash. You become blind and can only guess through the obstruction, When you find the right substance in life it acts as a solvent breaking down the dirt as well as the glass and allows you to see without your eyes. It opens up places in this world that the media and your 5 senses disable you from perceiving. Meditation does this as well.

  • @CzarThePlezer beautifully said. sight as other senses have been apparent since the begining and has changed only slightly through evolution. thought, however, has evolved more than could ever be measured and will continue throughtout our existance. we are the only species able to ask the question; why? everything that we are about, that seperates us from animals, is that; why? these substances are accelerants, to the higher tier of what we could become. of what our species is supposed to be.

  • @Prymer55 This current generation has stopped asking why. They have many more distractions now that consume them in a virtual reality. People are becoming so unsocial that it's getting to a point where people have to use online dating sites to accommodate for their lack of social skill. It's ok though, there are few people who are willing to search for the answers harder to come by. It is these people who have or will experience a higher awareness, and progress spiritually in this human vessel.

  • @CzarThePlezer haha the harsh truth, just like maynard would have put it.

  • I love you Bill.

  • I think it's sad that Tool seemed to miss out on Bill's lectures and teaching of marketing, franchising, and being a corporate whore. It's sad that Tool became SO commercial... Now you've got all these pseudo-spiritual idiots YEAH. I'm listening to stoner hippie music. *facepalm* That's not the point dipshit. It's the message. I think Bill Hicks makes Jon Stewart look like a mediocre corporate hack in the same way Warrel Dane from Nevermore makes Maynard from Tool look like a corporate hack. XD

  • @xTheWorldNeedsAHerox

The only corporate hack around here is you, dude, pontificating and passing judgement like a delusional little bitch. You think corporate hack is the ultimate insult. No, that would be sanctimonious cunt, and you are one.

  • so mezmerizing

  • heres tom with the weather =)

  • if they had binaural beats to this song..... well itd prolly suck but itd open the third eye x)

  • phosphorescent buttons reminds me of carlos casteneda. he talks of arizona native americans and their turn to peyote after the slaughter of their god- the buffalo.

  • R.I.P. Bill Hicks

Great preacher of love and reality spiced wit hhate, but a sayer of TRUTH for the better of man.

He is jamming with Hendrix now.

  • I am just happy to find this song on here without it being split into parts, Kudos to Uploader.

  • Third Eye = The mind's eye.

  • @weinerman09 Manayrd's Third Eye = His penis hole

  • I've heard this song hundreds of times before but this time it was more beautiful than I've ever heard it. Thank you for the upload. no matter what anyone says Tool is one of the best group artists ever!

  • @davidholmes282 i agree accept for the one of the part in your paragraph

  • "On my back and tumbling

Down that hole and back again

    Rising up

And wiping the webs and the dew from my withered eye."

    Get a room, boys :P .

  • What album is this song from?

  • @DisfunctionalDreya Aenima

  • @davidholmes282

really? i thought it was from Salival

  • Favorite song by Tool. Not to mention my favorite band. (:

  • This video was uploaded on my birthday. Epic song.
