i also agree with Sunfalcon325 about layering :) it's not that hard, you can play your guitar and then listen to it with your earphones and record your voice only

or you could also just try playing without the pick and just your fingers (cause that softens up the sound.) :)

You know what is so awesome about her stuff here on YouTube? No studios, no mixing, none of this add a little reverb here; add some drums there. No going back over a piece of it, no pitch correction. Her Michelle Branch cover cracks me up because the lighting is horrible. But this kid sounds great! I can't enjoy Michelle's version of Goodbye to you anymore because the crashing cymbals and overly loud drums and thumping bass just ruin it. Haley does it better. Just a girl and her guitar.
