  • Fantastic movie

  • the funeral part at the end of the movie was filmed in craigton crematorium which is just behind the block of flats in which i stay! i saw them filming that scene from my bedroom window! the funeral scene i mean!

  • Must have been fun to watch! Did you get a glimpse of the actors?

  • just wee peaks! i stay five floors up and in that crematorium/cemetary there are quite a few trees and bushes so they do kinda block your view! also the bbc filmed a tv series called takin'over the asylum which starred ken stott and david "dr.who" tennant up the actual block of flats where i stay! unfortunatly i didn't get to meet david tennant but i did meet ken stott and he was really down to earth and such a nice fella! mind you this was back in 1994! i even got to them filming a scene!

  • Lucky you! :-)

  • @PennySmart Where did you get this movie

  • You can buy it on Amazon or any other online DVD store. :-) I

  • what is the movie about?

  • It's about how 3 brothers and 1 mentally handicapped sister cope with their mother's recent death. It is supposed to be both very funny and sad but I guess you have to be glaswegian to get the humour.

Scottish accents are very thick to the point of being hard to understand including DH's.

I wouldn't recomment it unless you like low budget slightly absurd experimental films.

  • @PennySmart

Im not scotisch and got the humor :-) But its true, you need subtitles to understand what they are saying. The second time I watched without subtitles - just for fun.

    Great movie!
