Many thanks for posting this reading of Mr.Hoh's resignation letter, which I otherwise would probably have never heard or read. What struck me above all was his obvious sense of outrage at the duties he had been expected to carry-out, given the circumstances he saw all around him. Several truths which the previous administration went to great pains to conceal were touched upon - would that he could expound upon them further. Your rendition of the letter, btw, was exemplary.
Thank you for your comment. Mr. Hoh has since, been on various tv news programs to stress his thoughts about the situation in Afghanistan.
You're correct, the Bush Administration would have suppressed this quite well. It did take a month before his letter was made public, indicating there was debate going on within the Obama Administration about it.
And I am one of those. I'm going to print this resignation letter out, and see what I can do to convince those friends and family who are still on the fence. Mr. Hoh's letter is a powerful indictment of American foreign policy tradition, and he deserves to be heard. And thank you for taking the time to read.
The interest on the monies the Federal Reserve receives on funding both sides of the war there cannot be stopped and if stopped the Federal Reserve will fund politically a war right here in America.
End the Fed - Stop the un from the political stunts to inject world order.
US must understand that the people fighting it are only struggling for their freedom against its occupation and its surrogates oppression. US must understand that its crusades after 9/11 have only spawned more terrorism and more hatred and more divisions. And people of US must make their government realize its mistakes and make them change their policy. Otherwise one only sees more chaos, more bloodshed and endless anarchy on the horizon.
US has created a big lie in the form of a phrase know as "terrorism". This phrase has no single definition or any periphery. It encompasses all enemies whether legitimate or oppressed. It even includes groups who fight for their freedom, fight against foreign occupation, and struggle against injustice, corruption and oppression. This term has totally tarnished the global ethics and human rights. Its really sad to see that every enemy even the freedom fighters are being branded as terrorists.
Here we see an obvious case of the CIA covering a bigger lie (i.e the 9/11) within a mass of common and obvious knowledge. I bet we'll be seeing more lies from this guy, just wait and see.
Most of his 4 page statement was all ready common knowledge and one very distracting fact is that when he stated that the 9/11 was planned in western europe, which we all know is just anther invention of the CIA, and isnt it too obvious that the 9/11 was an inside job? Tower 7, the melting frames, the controlled demolition... to obvious for a sane mind.
I'm a little skeptic on this issue. Why would the US govt publicly announce on mainstream media all over the country, which they coincidentally have total control of, regarding one of their main CIA official who so called "intend to blow up their cover" in Afghanistan.
If you guys want to see how the CIA work, please check the John Decamp's Franklin Cover Up.
Yes, he really provided an assessment of the situation in Afghanistan. Today, it was indicated that Karzai's brother is working for the CIA and that he is involved in the drug trade in Afghanistan. Similar to Vietnam in how some American military personnel became involved in shipping drugs back to the US. This may also begin to explain British Army personnel transferring Afghanis by helicopter within the country. Very dirty business while lying about Taliban.
„The war in Iraq was conceived by 25 neoconservative intellectuals, most of them Jewish, who are pushing President Bush to change the course of history.
True, the war came with forethought between British and US with the grooming and plan of installing Karzai as president in Afghanistan. The leaders of these countries are puppets of the old money families of Europe. The house of cards is falling down.....

I wish Mr. Hoh was a senator. He is intelligent patriot who puts the interest of America FIRST! Where is Charles Lindbergh when we need him?

Switch the budget of the Peace Corp with the budget of the Dept.of self serving war.
Why not?

Peace Corp certainly wins more hearts and minds than the phony and endless war on "terrorism".

These are not wars but illegal occupations. It is time we stop this socialist warfare ;)

It is time to unwind what the neocons did.

Yes, I agree but it's more difficult to undo this mess.

Republicans have defeated America
the democrats follow their lead
and poor American kids sign up to murder civilians because there is no work in America.
Afghanis are not Americans they do not accept corruption in government .
The corrupt government America props up is now one of the main reasons America will fail ,as it adds to the ranks of the Taliban dailey.
the arrogance of America will leave America in total defeat ,America's epitaph
will read lived by the sword died by the sword.

I wonder, has obama read it?
jx14aby 2 years ago
I'm sure Obama read it a month ago and it is a critical part of his decision making.

I only hope. A voice like that doesn't stand much chance against all the special interests who want to keep the war going. I'm not optomistic.

My bet is that Obama is coming out with a shocker that will rock the neocons' world.
