Actually it's about the Civil War. The Don't Tread On Me term comes from a Confedarate Battle Flag, the one you see in this video with the Snake on it. I am Southern and very proud of it. I love country music but I also love Metal music.

@TheMetalisBack Check your history. The Gadsden Flag goes back to the Revolution. It was used again in the Civil War, but this song is about the Revolution.

Good video, but one thing. It's not just about the Revolutionary War, "never begins it, never but once engaged". We began that war, it is all the others that we never fought until engaged.

@Smarterthantherest Well that really depends on what you see as the beginning of the Revolutionary War. And whether or not you see events such as the Boston Massacre; and it's debated over whether a British soldier was the first to fire in the Battle of Bunker Hill.
