If you can afford a car bill, you can afford to wait/save for your new car without stealing money from taxpayers. You would be helping the economy by working for that money.

What a crying shame! I drove to some local dealers tongiht to see what their so called "Clunkers" consisted of. I was in tears at some of these cars. Not a dent or scratch and som in great condition. WTF!!! This Obama campaign leaves alot to be desired. Some of these vehicles needed a little detailing and could be used for charities and what no to use, again the US, what a wasteful country.
I hope the dealer and customers get shafted. Wasting perfectly good cars to temporarily hold up car dealers for a couple months at the cost of billions that will take a generation to pay back.

Congress does not know the long term implications of what they are doing to the US economy. I saw one video on line with a 2001 HD ford pickup with the V-10 being destroyed. This truck would have made a great part of the business of a contractor or construction worker to do his trade and contribute to the economy. But no, Congress wants those trucks dead so the construction worker will be forced to purchase a new $25k truck instead of purchasing a used $3k truck.
